For me that describes Blackman too!

Not meant to be a loaded question, but how many times have you actually seen Blackman play?

He's good with the ball at his feet, decent pace, link up play has always been fine - he's just struggled with his finishing (like so, so many of our players).

It really confuses me why so many people so strongly dislike him. Off the field, he's done everything a player can do to impress/please fans. On it, he needs to be given a chance.

Really? Must have blinked then.

I'm sure he's lovely but, he's had plenty of opportunity to impress - nevermind score goals - strongly dislike the fact he's gonna be another useless bench-warmer with a 'big' reputation but no end product. We seem to specialise in them pre-Mac II.

Once again, 22 appearances in 3 different positions under 4 managers is not a fair chance.

You strong dislike that he's going to be a benchwarmer? Take that out on the managers that haven't given him a run of games then?!?

If he comes into this team and starts scoring, as I think he will under SMC, you'll start seeing my point

Of course but you could say the same about hundreds of players up and down the country out of favour, doesn't mean they are bad players.

You only need to look at Pearson with Martin and Hughes to show how managers can get it wrong.

As McClaren said himself, Weimann is a good player however we have too many that are similar, Weimann may have been the only one to have interest shown in him.

Pearson genuinely didn't rate Will Hughes.

If Pearson manages to get himself another job in football I would be very surprised and disappointed.

Hughes and Ince would have been sold within a year if Pearson was still manager maybe because the guy didn't rate them or they didn't rate him and would have left

Thought we would of seen alot more from him in a Derby shirt.. Just hope he doesn't start up top where he wants to play and make us look like fools for sending him out on loan.. Think we have just replaced him with another one season wonder in Vydra..

For me he's just not a footballer. He can run fast but seems to have a very limited vision and awareness. I hope it happens for him at Wolves but he's just doesn't suit the Derby way.

McClaren rates him as a footballer but just can't accommodate him in the starting eleven at present. I value his judgement way above most of those posting on here.

If we want to sell him, afterall he can't even get in before Camara, then Mac isn't gonna say he's a bag of pants is he now!

Good finisher. Get him to the box and he'll score for sure. Wasted on the wing IMO. Bit surprising thought, against us they looked like lacking two CB's...

He'll do well for them.

If they play him in a central role he probably will - he's much better there than when played out wide.
