Commentator on the Spurs Villa game just said Villa are confident of getting Lansbury.

Good player, but not a "must buy" at big money with 6 months left. We'll see.

just watched the last 15 mins - Villa need him more than we do - shocking!!! if you had travelled down to London from Bham to watch that you'd be peed off !!! How many midfielders do Villa need? Grealish just struts around  - and moans to the referee  all the time - rest of them don't look interested!! there young keeper looks good.

Was pretty dull match, villa look an average championship side, which is what they are, Spurs fielded a weakened side and never really looked in to much danger.

If Lansbury just wants to p@ss around and has seen that today - then good luck to him - that is a lazy team taking its money - love to see what the Villa forum thought of that. If he wants to be part of something going forward and wants to be part of a good midfield  - then no contest!! I think Lansbury will sign for us this week.

6 months left on a contract means nothing anymore if a bidding war is in place. A good player is available and multiple clubs want him so they will increase offers.

Player gets to choose if he likes the offers on the table or wait until the summer and have even more contractual power.

Yeah the keeper looked solid, shame that they seem to have got someone decent in after their failed euro young keeper experiment.

The lad playing now is called Sam Johnstone and is a Man Utd player, had a good season at PNE last year.

Yet another young keeper that has been coached from a young age by our very own Eric Steele

It depends on whether or not he wants to improve as a footballer under a great coach in a team playing attractive football or go to the club offering the best contract and wages etc. Let's face it most of them are mercenaries anyway.

Also looked talented when on loan at Doncaster a couple of seasons ago. Surprised he's not been snapped up with a permanent move - Championship or above.

I think Bruce actually said he was a player they'd enquired about, how does this translate into confident of getting him.

Also seen one Villa clown saying he was quoted as saying he was switching from "East to West". Obviously thinking of the Midlands but maybe he's referring to the A52, cos you would go from "East to West" when travelling from Nottingham to Derby ?.

All will be revealed very soon

Lansbury won't move till takeover complete. Takeover to be done by Tuesday, deal in place already between new owners and Derby for sale of Lansbury. Derby highest bidders. Player prefers a move to Watford - they won't pay. Lansbury to be announced a Derby player in the week. Waiting game.
