t'oldu
The silence on his injury and prognosis is deafening. If it is a tear then we could do with 3 months cover from Bridcutt who is now officially available to loan.
Tombo
Do you not think the silence could possibly be so the opposition don't know if he's playing either?

valleyram
well keep baird at right back , play Johnson holding with butterfield and Bryson further forward and we will see the first 3 points of many on Saturday

dantheram
Home or away? Away, but having said that, considering the man's simply horrendous injury record, i may hedge my bets . . . .

RamLad1884
Possibly time for a basic 4-4-2? Ince and Johnson at rm and lm, butterfield with hanson/hendrick/bryson and then Martin with Bent/weimann?

Even if he starts training again fully soon it will still be a risk for Burnley won't it !
rynny
Even if he starts training again fully soon it will still be a risk for Burnley won't it !If he starts training fully before Wednesday/Thursday then he will be fine for Burnley. I tore my calf muscle and was playing again within 4 weeks, his injury is not as bad as that so will be fine after 3 weeks.

But I'm still worried that our midfield has been cr@p with thorne , without him it will be worse still. Sure we now have butters and Johnno. But without hughes or thorne, our midfield is weakened and we don't have direct replacements. I see butters and Johnson as rivals for russell and Hendrick. Balance in midfield isn't right without thorne or hughes.
