A good sensible business approach, a player is only worth to us what we are prepared to pay.

If other clubs think we are a cash cow, they are still to understand the "BIG SAM" approach to business. 

Just because we have the money doesn't mean we are going to pay beyond a players worth, great to hear from a Rams POV.

There's always a danger of having a large squad of average players rather than a medium sized squad of good ones.

The players we bring in should be better or at least different to the ones we have already. 

We should also have a good chance of selling them on at a profit or in the case of Baird, Warnock etc, using their experience to help younger players.

I am glad we aren't signing out of panic.

I was very worried at one point that we were panic buying, Huddersfield assumed we were and pumped the price up. Looks like it has backfired on them now though, they need cash and Butterfield has had his head turned. The emergence of Hanson has definitely helped us out. Personally I think Hanson will be a better player in time.

just read this, does he actually want to come or is he just playing it all down, got me asking the question why sign a player that doesn't want to move ?
