climbon Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Ward should be higher than 6.5 ...his goals were vital early on before he got injure. For me he has contributed more to this season than Dawkins who you have on 7/10

Day Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Pretty much exactly what I was thinking, though I probably wouldn't rate Christie as the best defender & Omar would be a 6 for me. Not sure how people can score Thorne on one 60 minutes appearance.Sometimes a man just needs some man love, Christie needs some after all the stick he's taken recently. Start of the season he was great, better than Brayford and Wisdom was the talk. Lately he's dipped out of form, for a young player to come from League 1 to the top of the Championship there was no way he would keep it up all season. A bit of man love from Daveo is the ideal motivation for the rest of the season.

craic dispenser Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Grant: 7 - He was brilliant before he had that knock and Butland replaced him. Since then he's made a few errors and his distribution has been a bit lax. Still a good playerChristie: 6.5 - Nearly a 7. Started well but trailed off in the last 6 weeks or so. Seems to think the only thing to do in terms of attacking is to try and outpace his manKeogh: 6.5 - Not his biggest fan but he's been reasonable all year, just wish he'd stop trying the spectacular and calm down on the ball rather than passing directly to Cesc Fabregas.Buxton: 6.5 - Same as above but swap Fabregas for that Wednesday forward.Shotton: 7 - He's been solid when he's played. Not as comfortable on the ball as Buxton or Keogh but a good, versatile defender. Keogh looks much better with Shotton at RB.Whitbread: No rating - Sick note. Not played enough. Won't be here next year.Forsyth: 8 - Last game was his poorest for a while but I think he's been brilliant for the most part this year.Eustace: 7 - Nothing spectacular, just a solid pro who hasn't let us down. Loves a booking.Mascarell: 7 - Some games he looks fab, others he looks crap. Think he'd be better in the premier league. Also think he's a centre midfielder in England. Spain perhaps he's a defensive midfielder but not here.Thorne: 10 - No, not really. He's the best player in football but he can't be rated yet. Looked good on Saturday for saying he's not played since May.Hughes: 9 - Phenomenal talentHendrick: 6.5 - Needs to impose himself on games more. Also needs to play that killer ball when wingers or Bent are making runs. He over-dribbles.Bryson: 5.5 - Doesn't look happy. Not justified his contract. Could improve.Ibe: 7 - Wish he'd stayed longer but our replacements have been good.Ince: 10 - Not much game time but impact has been big-time.Ward: 6 - Started well but he doesn't look like he fancies the battle for places. Misses too many one-on-ones.Dawkins: 6 - Good impact sub. Doesn't influence games enough when starting.Russell: 8 - Just wish he'd stay fitLingard: No rating - Looks quality though.Martin: 9 - Scores Goals. Holds up play brilliantly. Great at diving.Bent: 9 - Scoring machine.

Alph Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Grant - 10 (no better keeper in the Champ. Only a couple equal to him imo)Christie - 7Keogh - 7Buxton - 8Forsyth - 8Whitbread - 6Shotton - 7Eustace - 8Omar - 8Hughes - 10 (if he doesn't win poty then there's something wrong. He's the best central midfielder in the champ)Hendrick - 8Bryson - 7Russell - 9Ibe - 8Martin - 9Dawkins - 7Ward - 6Bent - 8(so far) Ince, Lingard need more games basically I think there's not a lot of room for improvement. Grant has saved us more times than I can remember. He made 3/4 world class saves where he has no right to stop the certain goal. Hughes is made of magic. Don't think we've really carried anyone.
St. Jimmy Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Grant – 8.5 – Mr Dependable. Made numerous match winning saves and distribution is generally excellent. Could have done better recently but everyone Roos – 6 – Not quite ready to be No. 1. Solid understudy.Butland – 6.5 - More than capable cover for the injured Grant. Distribution needs to improve to become top keeper. Christie – 7.5 – Joint highest assists. Lacked confidence in recent weeks. Forsyth – 8 – Underrated as a defender. Got through his mid-season blip and starting to turn in consistent performances. His crossing has not looked as dangerous as last season. Shotton – (10 – scored against Forest. Instant legend status, right?) – 7 – Solid enough. Preferred at right back. Warnock - too earlyKeogh – 8 – May split the fans but there aren’t many better defenders in this division. Unique technique but gets the job done and integral to our style of play. Buxton – 7 – Heart and soul. Yet to nail down the position like he did last season due to (unlucky) suspensions. Whitbread – 6 – The forgotten man. Part of the team for some important wins early season. Albentosa – Too early – Unlucky not to get a chance in the team recently due to unfortunate/stupid injury (Insoles FFS?!). Could still have part to play in the rest of the season. Mascarell – 7 – Perhaps too lightweight for the DM role but talent is undoubtedly there. Set piece skill is added bonus. Eustace – 8 – Eustace plays, we win (most the time). It’s science. The Eustace Effect. Bryson – 7 – Disappointing season compared to last season and perhaps a little unlucky. Still scored some crucial goals and making an impact from the bench. Hendrick – 7.1 – Inconsistent. Goes from being anonymous to bagging a brace but physically strong option in the centre of the park.Hughes – 9 – What can you say? When he’s good he’s unplayable. Would like to see more goals from him. Thorne - too early – If he can reach the heights of last season quickly he will keep us in the top 2. Ward – 6.5 – Good early season form followed by injuries. Russell – 9 – Slow start to the season followed by… wooshhh go Johnny go! Dawkins – 6 – Yet to have the influence he is capable of providingIbe – 7.5 – Improved remarkably in first half season. Now showcasing talents at the top of prem (playing wingback!?). Sad to see him go. lingard - too early – Showing early promise. Expected to make contribution during the run in. Martin – 10 – The one essential player to our play. No one better at holding the ball up and bringing others into play and better than a goal every 2 games. PIVOTAL. Bent – 8 - Goals goals goals. Eased the fear of losing Martin but different type of player and we miss Martins hold up play. Would like to see us start them both (Can we have 12 players, please?). Ince – 8 – Early days but if he carries on like this he’ll be a 10 at the end of the season. Could be the difference between winning the title and playoffs.Best – 2 – Apparently has 2 assists so he can have a point for each of those. Generous.
Duracell Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Grant - 8Butland - 7Roos - 6 (taking into account how young he is for a keeper)Christie - 7Keogh - 7Buxton - 7Forsyth - 8Shotton - 7Eustace - 8Mascarell - 7Hendrick - 6 (harsh, but he's the one first-team regular who I believe is playing below himself)Bryson - 5Hughes - 9.5 (one of the best seasons I've seen from an individual in a Derby shirt, if not the best, and only loses half a mark for deserting us at HT against Forest. Will, how could you??)Dawkins - 7Ward - 7Russell - 8.5Ibe - 4 (given how good he's looked for Liverpool, his effort here must have been nothing short of shambolic - only given him 4 for his goals. I won't be clapping him or cheering his name next time he comes to PP)Ince - not going to curse it by marking himBent - 8Martin - 9Best - 2 Way too many people rating first-team regulars way too low. They've got us to the top of a very tricky league, and we may have bottled it a few times, but they've never let us properly slip away.
Shuff264 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Grant – 8 - Have too look past his last couple games to the rest of the season, saved us on a number of occasions Roos – 6.5 - Not seen too much of him, made some good saves and looks like he has potential Butland – 7 - Slow start but got better and better, looks a great player for the future Christie – 7.5 – Made a fantastic start but dropped off, great Wisdom replacement Forsyth – 7.5 - Doesnt fly forward as often as last season, but a very strong left back Shotton – 7 - Cant nail down a spot in the team, cant choose a position. But scored a couple of important goals and is solid when hes in the team Warnock - N/A - Not judging a player of 40 minutes of football Keogh – 8 - Would be higher if he didnt have that mistake in him. Lambasted by fans for no reason, leads the team, organises the defence and is fantastic at carrying the ball out of defence when there are no other options. We would be in a far worse position without him and he is a fantastic assset to derby. (Needs a goal) Buxton – 7.5 – Courage of a lion, puts great passion into everything he does for the club. Whitbread – 5 – Not sure the last time I heard his name? Albentosa – N/A - Cant judge on what hes played, hopefully rises up to his reputation Mascarell – 7 – Slow start to the season, looks suspect defencibley but has been getting better. Great passer, great set pieces. Eustace – 7.5 - Knows his job, knows how to do it. Mess with him and hell break you. Limited going forward but has been fantastic at the back Bryson – 6.5 - Compared to last season been pretty poor, scored some screamers. The way teams set up limits his effectiveness as he cant get round the back, been looking food as a sub Hendrick – 7 - One minute hes causing chaos for the other team, the next minute the same to us. Was expected to be a huge player for us this year but has never lived up to it. Hughes – 9 – At times makes opponents look like non league players as he waltz through. always knows where the next pass is going Thorne - N/A - Too early to tell Ward – 5.5 - Seems harsh and im definitley not his biggest fan, his goals early in the season were important, but when was his last good game - Blackburn away? Limits us when hes in the team Russell – 8 - Assist king, causes chaos for defenders Dawkins – 6.5 - Inconsistent but clearly quality which comes through at times, needs to happen more often Ibe – 7.5 – Inconsistent but put fear into the opponents, impressed with how well he has done in Liverpools team lingard - 6.5 - Defenders **** themselves when he gets running, ball sticks to his feet. With a couple of starts he could cause chaos but has been a great impact sub. Martin – 9 - The derby lynch pin, without this injury would have easily scored 30. Bent – 8.5 - Goals are things that just happen to him, they just keep happening. Ince – 1 – Bad attitude /s 8 - Been fantastic, great set pieces and great all round play. Best – 2 – Best never happened. Steve, Paul, Eric - 10
Ram a lamb a ding dong Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 There are some folk with way too much time on their hands. I gave up earlier missing some key players off as it was taking me forever to type in each player. Anyway to finish off:Ince - 9Ibe - 7.5Roos - 7Buckland - 5Whitbread - 7Thomas - 6Just shows that we are top and only half of our players are performing, imagine if they all turned up
Shuff264 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 If you think everyone else has too much time, just you wait...
