Just shows how you can spend 25m with care and due dilligence and start to become successful on the field, and not just throw 100m plus and just hope and spiral down the table with every other man and his dog chasing you for unpaid bills.

Why are the gumps allowing Fawaz to remain the owner?  Surely they are in a worst place than when we had the 3 Amigos?

If I understood it correctly, according to Mel Morris and Sam Rush we were able to sign the likes of Johnson and Butterfield because we had taken out insurance on the first team players (after what happened to Thorne last season). So when both Hughes and Bryson got injured on the opening day we were able to replace them (not sure how much the insurance covered but Rush made it sound like quite a lot). Not trying to have a dig, but Reid, Cohen, Hobbs and Wilson aren't the most dependable players when it comes to avoiding injuries and add to that the unfortunate injury to Assomalonga .... I wonder if Fawaz had taken out insurance on your first team players, whether you'd have avoided the embargo or not?

Might have problems insuring those players they've not paid for yet.

Looks like you're heading for the playoffs again.

We're only eight points off em ourselves.

See you at Wembley

Wembley? Cant see it being an all east midlands FA cup final TBH.

I get the feeling that if the Red Dogs end up winning something (promotion back to the Championship for example ;)) that they'd be an open top bus ride round the city with only Uncle Fawaz and his mate Emad on the top deck...

Chillout mate we aren't down yet. Kepe playing like we did against your shower and on Saturday and we'll be fine

Yeah, Spot on Dawnie. You need to show some ambition towards the relegation aspiration. keeping Doogie is a good idea in that respect,  but perhaps you should try some experimental formations and keep improving the capitulation in the last few minutes stats. Maybe you should rehire McClaren just to get the fragility cemented in the players minds - he's woking wonders on Newcastle.

Didn't capitulate against your lot :D Although hard to when the opposition can barely register a shot on target

In all honesty, we've mostly been at least competitive in games we've lost. Undoubtedly the football is better than under Pearce, if he can keep winning games and getting them scoring, we'll be fine.
