Sky Sports understands a host of English clubs are tracking Dutch defender Nick Kuipers.

Kuipers has been catching the eye in Holland with MVV Maastricht and his performances have not gone unnoticed.

The 6ft 3in central defender has been likened to his countryman Ron Vlaar of Aston Villa for his style of play and the powerful defender has all the attributes suited to English football.

Kuipers is in the final year of his contract at MVV Maastricht and the Eerste Divisie side are bracing themselves for offers for the defender.

The likes of Derby, Huddersfield, Brighton, Charlton are all thought to be admirers of Kuipers after watching him in action for the last 12 months.

The fact that some people love to adopt a blame culture astounds me. Why are some people so quick to want to point the finger at someone and say "it was your fault"?   I heard an interesting thing a

Was literally about to post this haha.

No idea if he is any good mind. Looks tall and hench...... sign him up.

isnt he a fat lad? he's got an enormous belt. (sorry)

Only 22 years of age, I'd imagine he'd be fairly cheap, and we are a bit light in the centre back positions, especially considering Shotton covers right back aswell.

Get him in January, to give him a few months to adapt to the English game before we get promoted, and he becomes the next Vidic?

Sod that. Drink beer.

Oh I do drink a lot of beer mate...but water helps with the hangover's.  ;)

If water made him that big, how huge he'll get with the food?

Well yes, I like a shower when I'm feeling rough too, but drink the stuff? No thanks. Unless it's in a really nice Irish Whiskey.

I often prefer to put a little water in the finest Irish Whiskeys - and cask-strength Scotch for that matter. It just reduces the 'alcohol burn' and allows some of the more subtle flavours to come through. No ice though. NEVER put ice in whisky.
