Makes you wonder though, off the top of my head can't think of a single example of a modern politician coming up with anything like as rousing, why on earth do they pay speechwriters?

In the library I work I have had to escort some guys out before who were..ummmm....pleasuring themselves.Both of them had the 'V' edition of the encyclopedia...

On the plus side I have also caught two college female students making out in a cubicle. :)

I remember my mums boyfriend when I was about 5 said to me ' Ash if some one is speaking don't but in wait for them to finish!'  always remembered that and have never butted in since. Kills me though when your standing there at work and 2 people are talking know your there waiting for one of them and the talk **** and u feel like a right knob!

 

Trying to teach my little one the same value... All you hear is dad, DAD, DAD!! , DAD!!!!!! hopefully he remembers this rule sometime soon lol.

2. Know the answer before you ask the question?

That's just daft. There's nowt wrong with asking questions. Ask any woman, she'll tell you. :-D

Anyway. The art of conversation would be lost, there's absolutely nothing wrong with polite enquiries.

If you can (and I know it's hard) take time out to imagine things from the other person's perspective before you go straight to argument and defence. It's amazing how just a small move to middle ground can take heat out of a situation and reduce stress.

Your way might well be right but understanding a contradictory position will leave you better-adjusted.
