IlsonDerby
Nixon just tweeted the link to it, pointless posting the link though as you need a subscription for The Sun online.
North_Stand_Ram
So Freeman says they can't afford him but?.. Odd. All local derby media saying he should sign today or tomorrow

Posh Ram
Maybe he thinks Bolton is more appealing as he will be first choice every week. Here he will definitely have two other wingers breathing down his neck if he puts in a poor performance.

Shaftesbury Street
Depends. If he's only going to come here as the 4th choice winger and get 20 minutes a week (barring injuries to people ahead of him), he might be better off going to Bolton and playing a full 90 a week (although I've no idea what the actual competition for places is like at Bolton). If the reports about him are true i'd like to think he'd be pushing for a starting place each week. But if that's not the case i can see why Bolton might be more appealing. Thierry Ennui
Could be as simple as him having less distance to travel.
Uptherams
If he can't hack competition for a starting place here then he might aswell leave Liverpool now and go and join a bottom half PL team.
Shaftesbury Street
Could be as simple as him having less distance to travel. True, just thinking as well he's good mates with Sturridge who had a successful loan spell at Bolton a few years back. Then again his uncle didn't exactly do too bad for us
Ambitious
It sounds a bit strange, I must admit. I can't see why he'd prefer to go Bolton rather than here, okay, he may get more game time initially, but he would excel in our system and when push comes to shove, I think he'd make the team all day long. North_Stand_Ram
@reluctantnicko: @scottdeley @BwfcJ Wide open. Derby wanted him for weekend game. Unlikely as we stand ... Also stated that we wanted him this morning to come down but he didn't, if you believe what he writes ect ect

Gandalf's shin pads
Surely the management at Liverpool would rather see him at Derby where his character, drive and ambition will be more clearly demonstrated. He will face stiff competition for a starting place every week and then have to assert himself in that role to hold it down. Our style of play will (probably) also mean it will be more likely he would see more of the ball to create/take more chances than at Bolton. Still, it's his decision in the end. If he doesn't want to come, move on and look elsewhere...
oldtimeram
If he does not want to play for us, forget him. Just like Bamford, I got the distinct impression he did not really want to play for us. I do not want to see another one come here like that.
Ambitious
Interesting. I'm completely perplexed by it all. Fair play to the kid though, he obviously wants to think through his decision and it's well within his right and interest. I hope he makes the right decision, whether it's them or us. He's a special talent, he needs to be coached correctly. I think Bolton would be a mistake for him, a huge mistake, but I guess he'll know better than me. cheron85
If this is true (uncle rupes' house of lies not the most reliable source) then we should defo bin him off... He obviously wants to stay close to Liverpool so let him... He's only 18 and may not feel comfortable moving away from home for a year...
