Ovis aries
I wish Barker all the best, I really do, but I just can not see him ever getting back to the standard he was playing at, never mind the fitness level, two years is a long time.

Cam the Ram
They said at the Q&A he's aiming to play in one pre season friendly
Gypsy Ram
He still hasn't tried jumping on his knee. If he can get through that then he will play, if he can't then its goodbye. I would hope he comes through the next phase of his rehab.
dabber
Well on one of his Instagram posts a while back, linked above on here, there was a vid of him heading it further than I can kick it and he was jumping for the header
Dimmu
Why would he target to only one friendly? If he's going to play, surely he would want to play more. I'm afraid that one match is going to be his farewell game (or more likely couple minutes of it).
BoylestoneRam
I'm just hoping this pre-season game that Rush and co eluded to is the Rangers one. That way we can welcome him back/give him a good send off, whichever it may be!

SSC
Just noticed Bucko wearing the number 5 in the pre-season pictures. Could show they aren't expecting a return for Barker?

RampantRam
I think dcfc fans will collectively cheer when we see Barks back in a Derby shirt getting some game time but I can't see him seeing too much action this season. You have to applaud the way that management and the fans have stood by him as club captain too. If he's anywhere near the quality he was before the injury, he's worth a few games this season. Duracell
Equally though he's club captain and a senior pro, and squad numbers can come and go And while this season he is 25, he has in the past worn the number 5. Not an award-winning poem yet, but we've got the start of something special there I reckon.
DCFCmaz
For me it would be great to see him back, maybe even get a few games and score the winner at the shitty ground!
