An interesting guy, I really don't know anything about half the people that own us, how long have they owned us, over 6 - 7 years? I like it when we get small insights like this into our owners or am I just not paying attention?

Hold on one god damn minute. Our investors are rich as hell. They can make some money if they establish us as a PL team. But pittance compared to what they have or could get with the same type of investment elsewhere outside of UK football. So my question is why? Wilson even admits he had no idea about how big the PL pay off would be. He seems like a real nice guy and a right character. Hopefully he has never met Michael Jackson or was/is too big a fan of MJ.

I have massive respect for anyone that names their dog Johnny Cash then creates a twitter account for them. Added to the fact that he's a billionaire and owns Derby County he seems like a top guy.

I should caveat that I have 3 dogs that I'm completely obsessed with

I think that Brett Wilson is a big sports fan. He has long-standing friends from Derbyshire, so when the opportunity came up to invest in the Rams he decided that it might be quite a fun adventure. However, since he's been here I reckon that he's really been bitten by the bug. He seems genuinely to enjoy the matches and appears far more of a 'fan' than the other investors. I also think that the recent success has allowed him to enjoy being an owner - rather than having to constantly justify himself.

"The number of mistakes we made was almost universal".

Wtf does that mean?

Is he trying to say 'astronomical'?

He is one of the guys in Dragon's Den where he has sometimes invested his own moey just because he has liked the person or the cause even when he knows it isn't a good investment. Does a lot of charity work.

I've a feeling that he will take sole control of us pretty soon, noticed that he has started to visit us a lot more these past few months. Just a hunch

My feeling too. Not based on anything other than his interviews.

A lot of people keep asking why. Does it matter?

I've also seen it bandied around that the plan is to sell as soon as/if we go up, I don't buy into that. Why would they go through all this and take all the flack for years and then sell up as soon as it gets good?

Brett is genuine, smart, and committed to seeing his investment through. He's gone from 10% shareholder to 25% and he'll be there on Saturday cheering on his team.
