He always sounds so positive, even when he talks about the melanoma.

Always gives me a lump in my throat.

I'm saying nothing.

Gutted for Colin, wish him well, and will join in the applause if it goes ahead.

At the risk of being publicly eviscerated though, I feel I have to say that there must be a person in Ramland in his position at every age from 1 to 90 - except we've heard of Colin so we do this. Where do we stop, and what about everyone else? My mate who I'll be travelling with has a lovely wife who is too sick to complete her chemo course at the moment. A round for her too some way through the second half?

Instead, what about getting the buckets out at PPS for the RoadRider send off and so on, and seeing if we can't raise a few bob for cancer charities on his behalf?

Only know him through listening to the sports reports on Radio Derby but has always struck me as being a good guy. Hope Colin gets the strength to cope with this terrible illness through the help and love of his family and friends. Good luck

Absolutely awful, reading about Colin's struggle with Cancer prompted me to book into the doctors to discuss some moles on my body. Scarily I was referred to a skin specialist at the hospital but fortunately he found nothing to worry him however he has reiterated that I am a high risk so Colin's story terrifies me.

Hope if any good can come out of this awful awful time is that people take more care in the sun, even if it isn't hot outside if there's sun there are UV rays! And as for sun beds how they're still legal astounds me!

Getting the buckets out to raise a few bob would be a mgnificent gesture, great idea Needles.

It boils my piss we send millions to countries with their own space programmes and nuclear subs and ting, here's an idea for this country's government, suspend these bungs for a year and give the money to research into these hideous illnesses, if we can speed the process up even by a couple of years good people, young and old alike might just benefit from it.

yes, i thought that too

Well anyone on here who knows me will know it was never, ever meant to be a hurtful comment, especislly when I lost my brother to the same bloody disease when he was 30.

All I meant was it reduces me almost to tears - no, in fact it has done - when I hear him talk about it on the radio. I always get choked with emotion.

So once again, I apologise if anyone thought I was being tactless or thoughtless. I'd never dream of it.

:-(
