ColonelBlimp
My favourite world cup goal, of all time, a pity they lost 4-2 as they had a real go! Erm, the Scots won 3-2. Great goal though. Not quite as good as Carlos Alberto in 1970, that's always been my favourite.
Alph
I still don't believe it. Neither the A52 or the A38 go that far.

Alph
No, but the A50 does go to EMA.. I forgot our A50 network and our summer easyjet to Scotland. Still, it's good to know there's a man in a dune buggy driving over deserts with his little forest flag flapping in the breeze.
Grimbeard
"http://www.roblurted.com/wp-content/uploads/Fatadona2" alt="Fatadona2"> It's tragic that I find this exciting. Like you don't get foreign donkeys by the dozen. But I'm glad. Yon cheating Argie git appears to have been eating foreign donkeys by the dozen. Abu Derby
Yon cheating Argie git appears to have been eating foreign donkeys by the dozen. That's an old photo. Apparently he is is coming out if retirement at the age of 53 to "play for a lower league side". Him an Martin would be an interesting duo. Boycie
Well, getting back on topic (listen to me!) If Mr Evans has gone out there, he must have been advised of a target, because he has said he has contacts around the world, so why would he need to go and scout players from scratch? He must be going over with a view of signing a player, or surely a lesser "important" member of staff could have watched the target play?
StaffsRam
Not quite as good as Carlos Alberto in 1970, that's always been my favourite. Yep, great goal too. If Maradona's goal is a great individual goal then Carlos Alberto's is a fantastic team goal.http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=M5HbmeNKino Just love Pele's little hold up and little flick across to CA. On Maradona, love this quote from Pele;Maradona could not kick with his right foot and did not score with his head. The only time he scored an important goal with his head, he used his hand. You are quite right, I just looked it up - I can only think that they lost 4 - 2 in the next match.
trekkie_ram
Actually does anyone know who our chief scout is? Can't recall anything being announced when mac came in. Catching up, and I was wondering if it would get back on topic - lol

There was no next match - they were out after getting humped by Peru and being held to a draw by Iran.....

Alph
Pele criticised Maradonna and Messi. Some would say he only played for Santos and New York and that his mouth is so big he gave himself two birthdays. Not me though. I admire his goal hanging... Alph
According to Wikipedia, Maradonna is still active as footballer and will make his debut next month. I think we're signing Diego Maradonna. He'll be the second fattest player in the league.

The needed a fourth goal against Holland to go through, I seem to recall.

Not quite as funny as when they needed us NOT to concede one against Holland when we were 4-0 up at Euro 96....oops goal Patrick Kluivert and all at Wembley cheered, English and Dutch.
