Given our recent penchant

For snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Taking into account our fear of actually winning.

We almost certainly will retain our place in Division two

But yes..the relegation battle

Which seemed furthest from our thoughts

In mid January, has now become

A very definite reality.

What do we need?

Points!

What do points mean

Safety!*

*And maybe even mid-table anonymity.

If Barnsley and Peterborough win tonight, the final relegation spot will have 41 points. 4 points behind the Rams.

Why do people think 50 points equals safety?

Once we get to 50 the chance is greatly reduced and from that position you are bound to get some points so it pretty much guarantees a position in the league.

Just thinking, we have 4 home games and 5 away games left... If we follow (about) the form over the whole season we should get 2 home wins, 2 home draws, an away win, an away draw and 3 away losses...

Giving us a final total of 57...

(All comments statistically suspect)
