Whether or what we do any business will be quite telling for me.  I have a theory that goes along these lines:
The EFL can't really pin anything on us at all and we all know that the rest of the league are baying for blood.  The EFL want a points deduction and we are rightly resisting that.  If we were to do some business it would indicate to me that we have accepted some form of punishment from the EFL.  If we don't do any business and we stick to our guns I expect the findings from the EFL investigation / resubmitted accounts to show no wrongdoing (accompanied with a strongly worded statement about future conduct).
I for one think we have enough to stay up as we are.  The dream for me is that we can somehow lift the embargo for January and can invest in the squad, integrating the new players in the back half of the season for a promotion charge 2022/2023 season (to the premier league that is!).
If we do sign anybody today expect a points deduction to follow fairly shortly.  My view is that additional signings will be conditional on that!

I'm not sure where you were in the ground Wistaston but where I was everyone enjoyed it, joined in  and gave it full gusto. It helped to add to the already great atmosphere. Who knows, maybe it even helped motivate the lads to go and get that early lead ?!

I was in the SW upper, lots of singing around me and we just caught the end of SBW to shout 'Derby'. I'm not a big fan of SBW, but each to their own and I enjoyed the atmosphere again as i have done at all our home games this season.

We need a bit of flexibility, it did seem in the second half forest changed to stop our strengths, and other teams will be learning how to cut our intended style out. So we either need to be so good at it we're unstoppable, or, more likely, if it's not working have a few different things to pull so we don't lose our attacking intent.

    Overrated: Morrison and CKR
    Underrated: Bird and Fozzy
I love CKR and he did a good job for us last season, but the reality is he’s a decent back up striker and sometimes he hinders our progress when attacking.
Morrison reminds me of one of my old managers sayings “ that lads mostly fart and hardly any poo” easily the most technically gifted player in the squad, if not the division. Yet it doesn’t translate into the effective performances you would expect. Yes we’ve had some nice touches and he keeps possession fairly well, but he doesn’t impact the game to a level you’d expect from such a talented player. His performances look to be on the wane as well.
Bird gets absolute pelters from our fans but he’s easily been our best midfielder this season after a tough season last year. He’s mobile, does his defensive work well and knits play together nicely.
Fozzy again another who gets pelters, yes his passing can be dodgy, but he gives his all and is having a good season thus far. After the nightmare he’s had with injuries it’s great to see him still doing well in the latter stages of his career.

Not sure how he can be overrated when so many voice their concerns about him.
Worth mentioning here, we've conceded 4 goals in the league so far this season, only Fulham and Birmingham have conceded less (3).
You could argue this is the defence, but Roos is part of the defence, hardly terrible. Pulled off some cracking saves to keep us in games already.

    Fair comments Brady
I think overall my point is that I’m a bit mystified why a lower half team in England’s second tier, with the quality of player we currently have, and ones with a quality that  you would expect to be playing no higher than that level, should adopt some tactics that some of the top teams in the world and certainly the Prem would struggle to be successful with. I just don't think we have the players to do that and its a case of the management to some extent trying to force square pins into round holes

    You are right
One might have hoped, though, that we would have responded appropriately. Why  did we persist with the daft goal kick routine, and constantly giving the ball to Davies to try to do something with ? Just seemed to be a lack of communication by the management and a lack of footballing intelligence

Seems to me that we have three or four players who are very comfortable on the ball, even when it is fired in at them - Tom, Joz, Max and Ravel. Don’t understand why we don’t just aim to get those guys on the ball every time we have won it ? At least 3 of the 4 have shown they can control it and do something with it even when marked and under a lot of pressure .

Normally pretty positive and upbeat about us but found yesterday’s second half incredibly disappointing and almost painful to endure. Especially after that first half when it was everything one could have asked for and more.
Would love to have known what went on at half time to have led to such a change in attitude. It was almost as if we were determined to keep trying to shoot ourselves in the foot until we actually  did !

I find it baffling that we think it will be a successful tactic to give the ball to Davies and Shinniesta to start off our moves upfield. That is not either of theirs’ game and never will be. Wasn’t it Clough senior who instructed ball winners like those two to just win it and then give it to someone who was capable of doing something with it ? And as for this bizarre six yard kick off routine that we persist with, the less said the better !
Thought Tom was really lively first half and the goal was brilliant. But until he becomes a true team player, and takes opportunities to give the ball to teammates in much better positions, he will struggle to fulfil his potential. Although very surprising at the time, his exclusion from the Wales Euros squad his probably understandable on that basis.
Same goes to Ravel to some extent too. And it would be great to know why he didn’t get subbed off in the second half too, when he was clearly suffering and effectively we were reduced to playing with ten men at times.
On the plus side, there were plenty of really good performances yesterday. Byrne was so much better than the Boro game. Bird, Jags, Fozzy, Joz all had really good games to me.
So all in all, a little bit downbeat unfortunately. Mainly due to the lack of common sense and logic displayed by both the team and the management in the second half.
And, of course, because it was Forest. You do wonder if they ever be more “there for the taking” than that !

I blame Davies and Jagielka for constantly passing back to the incompetent kicking of Roos.
This put us under more pressure than a forward pass to one of our ball playing experts.

We needed to go to a back 3 sooner. When we did you could see the space that we had on the flanks for Buchanan to run into.

Rooney sets up the team really well, the first half and in particular the interplay between Morrison and Lawrence was a pleasure to watch.

Rooney needs to react more quickly when the opposition changes tactics as the Gumps did.

it is a credit to Derby that the other teams need to change systems but we need to react more quickly when they do it

They changed tactics by pressing us, closing Roos down and cutting off passes to Byrne and Forsyth. This caused us to kick long. We were unable to complete with long balls although Stretton did well when he came on.
this enabled the Gumps to get on top
