  1. If cashin goes:

CB- get a young loan player maybe Ashley Phillips from Tottenham

CF - loan for Ladapo from Ipswich not getting much proper game time

CM- I’d seriously try and sign Brannagan from Oxford or a loan player

    W- Blacket Taylor from charlton

  2. I’d hope Brighton or West Ham sign him.

as for money I’d expect somewhere between £2-3.5 m realistically

    as for reinvestment

  3. I think Maguire , wants to moonlight as a tabloid journalist. He should know being an academic not to make claims that are not backed up in anyway. He seems to have Derby / Mel permanently in his mind and if I’m not mistaken wasn’t it him , who “voiced his concerns “ to the EFL in the first place ?

  4. RIP Daniel / B4 , was always a joy to have in this forum. We’ve lost one of our family but together as fans in his honour let’s stick together because he was glue of positivity that kept us together. Sadly  I wasn’t at the game yesterday but I’m sure he would have been filled with pride about his beloved rams. Never forgotten and rest easy. Once a ram always a 🐏

Can anyone remember what league position we were in when Rosenior was relieved of his duties? I've got 10th in my head. I also seem to recall fans spitting feathers about how abysmal Rosenior's Derby were when playing away from Pride Park.

IN the current situation, I'm thinking the reason Warne is still manager is Derby are well-placed in the league. 5 points off a play off place and 8 points off 2nd place. With 96 points to play for.

Whilst the football is not brilliant, we are still winning games (won 6, lost 5). Many experts would state that winning ugly, and when not playing well is a positive thing, and gives room for improvement.

Personally, if we keep winning 1 and losing 1, it's better than drawing both, we are still in the race.

You’ll end up around 12th if you alternate winning and losing every game

Absolutely right. Calling Mr Clowes names is unnecessary and childish, and like all Derby fans I have a great deal of respect and gratitude for what he did to save the club. However, as a lifelong Rams fan I believe those of us who don’t believe Warne is the right man have the right to criticise the owner for making the decision he did in bringing him in. Personally I think it was a poor decision (though perhaps understandable given Warne’s record at the time) that will set us back years as a club.

The length of the contract is the first the main issue, as it essentially financially cripples us but masked as a a sustainable decision. I personally would have given him 18 months then reviewed the progress but I guess Warne wouldn’t have left Rotherham for that. Four year contracts are utter madness in football unless we’re talking about an under 25 year old player with potential.

I'm boycotting games & merchandise till he's gone. Hopefully more fans will do the same. Clowes showing a complete lack of awareness by doubling down on this loser & his henchmen. Gutted 🙈

I just can’t be assed to go anymore I’d choose a full day of private tuition then sat freezing in a piss wet through stand , to see drivel and spend 45 minutes trying to get out of Pride Park.

I take it he'll be doing it the media duties today? That's usually a sign if he's staying or going.

The atmosphere is toxic so tbh if I was him I’d pack up and go before he’s hounded out

I assume 5 league games, rather than counting Crewe and Wolves U21 towards the total. In the next 5 games, we play sides who are currently 5th 13th, 16th, 20th and 24th in the table. We shouldn't be settling for anything less than 9 points from those.

I was being conservative if he’s unable to get that then he’s definitely gone. Personally with my flippant attitude towards our club at present I’d hope he was packing away his coffee machine and ceremonial mugs as we speak

  10. According the available managers at the moment ( granted some of these are highly unrealistic)

Might not be a bad thing.

From a quick glance there’s about 11 players out of contract anyway, so whoever the manager is will have another rebuild ahead.

    NML

    hourihane

    Barkhuizen

Warne could go down the local boxing club and see if there's any down there fancy a new career. 😄

  12. The only criticism I have for DC is the 4 year deal that was utter madness! I’d have given him 2 years with an option of a third that would have kicked Warne up the ass to try and succeed.

Warne is quite happy to sit on those three extra years knowing if we sack him he is entitled to compensation for those years unless another team takes him on ( this is when the compensation reduces), from his recent record I can’t see many queuing up for his services.

  13. To be honest, as a club as long as I’ve watched us we have had no plan B regardless of what  manager we have. It’s always the same. We do well and look competitive against teams that play nice football on the ground but as soon as we get a team with big players and route one we look like a team that’s never played together.

If Clowes isn't angry at the current situation then he really should be. It's his money and his club that Warne is chucking down the drain

Not to mention the potential losses if we stay in this division , lost gates if  fans no longer have the interest to show up at ‘Pride’ park not much pride there anymore! The football is shocking and the players look lost , confused by whatever Warne is trying to do, besides a few dad jokes and selling Clowes a diamond encrusted  turd during his interview 🤦‍♂️😡
