I was very privileged to have sat with him for that meal, I can confirm the fish and chips were more enjoyable than the match.😥

We don’t know the reason for it but Daniel just stopped breathing in his sleep. The ambulance crew got a very faint heartbeat, so he went onto life support in ICU but he died two days later. Nothing showed up on hospital tests or the digital autopsy, so the coroner stated natural causes. He had a cold prior to it but had said he was feeling better. It seems that he would felt very little if anything when he stopped breathing, which is some comfort. The night before he had been at the Crewe away match and had fish and chips for his dinner. I’m glad he was doing something he loved on his last evening. Today is very tough 💔

Obviously someone you are slightly poorer for not having come across on here , at pride park or away days all over the country for many years and I don’t mean that in a horrible way to you , he was a top lad who brought a smile to the face of everyone lucky enough to meet or interact with him 👍

B4 was Daniel Beavis. A lifelong DCFC supporter who died suddenly in November, just hours after attending the Crewe away match. He was only 38 and had held a season ticket for almost 30 years. B4 was his username on this forum where he was well know for his unique take on all things DCFC and his kindness to others. Despite the situation of the club or inconsistency of results, he was unbelievably positive. Dan had learning difficulties and despite what he may have typed on here at times, he was actually quite vulnerable and his world was quite small. His whole world revolved around his beloved Derby County. His death has been a shock to us but his passion and love for DCFC has left an effect on many who knew him, in person or virtually. He was also my brother.

How’s everyone feeling today? It was real high at the beginning of the match and the second half. I did have walk around the pitch where I found some of my new DCFC friends. I shed a tear for B4 and sprinkled a few more ashes on the centre spot with my dad. We had several people come up to us to say hello and pass on condolences and congratulations for B4, which was lovely.
I don’t want to sound like a party pooper but I’m feeling really flat today. Watching the football and the excitement of the race for promotion has been a welcome distraction and a tribute to Dan. It might just be my body and emotions telling me I need a breather over the summer.
Maybe we need a thread with our highlights of the season and celebration pics? You all amazing at picking me up. I saw a post on another thread earlier that said ‘when are we signing Mbappe?’ 😂 That made me smile

I don't believe in the afterlife. I've never believed that anyone is literally looking down on us.
However, sometimes something so pure as Daniel's love of Derby County can inspire a group of grumpy, cynical buggers by example.
I hope we can take that into next season.
    Be more B4

Two strange things today that you just know in your gut are meant ,,,, I rarely look at the video screen , I don’t know why I looked but I did and there it was ,,,, be more B4 and a short while later I looked over again and I saw a solitary ballon floating high above the stand above the video screen ,, don’t give a poop if anybody thinks I’m a soppy old bugger or it’s just coincidental,,, but when you know you know ,,, thanks for being around us all B4 ❤️

Let him stand. It's been so long since he could stand, jump around and do the bounce without being in pain. He deserves his moment of happiness, and this time although he won't be with the people he loves (not in body, but definitely in mind) he will be celebrating with Brian and Peter, with Steve Bloomer, Reg Harrison...... and he will be just as infectious with them as he was (and still is) with us.

I often see him around the east stand. I was really pleased to see someone a couple of people in wheelchairs on the pitch being part of the celebrations too

I know it's not the league title, but we won promotion 🤩 So do we think there will be an open top bus through derby? I'd imagine the streets would be packed.
I really hope there is. Another opportunity to show our appreciation to everyone at the club.

Used my bus pass for the first time yesterday (apart from getting past the safe-standing ticket checks - twice!) and as I walked across the Morlege at about 9.15 I could see about a thousand people out on the pavement already. Derby was heaving with Rams already! A great day yesterday!

... The day before. Reflections of yesterday with a bangin head!
It wasn't just Pride Park or the Neptune - it was the whole of Derby - some places have it and some don't, it's that simple!
It's easy to support Liverpool, it's easy to follow one of the Manchester clubs.
I don't think there is a greater footballing place in the UK than Derby!

So many thoughts and emotions at the moment.
I went into Derby to watch the huge, noisy, smoky crowd as they wended their way through the town. Flags galore and a positive, good-natured feel to the occasion. I was excited but dreadfully apprehensive about the final score. The energy from the crowd just had to lift the team and carry them over the line... surely? What could possibly go wrong?🤔
I listened to the match on Radio Derby. Once we had scored 2 goals I started to relax and enjoy the game a bit more.
When our lovely Max Bird went off I felt so proud of him, so sad to see him leave us and worried in case he was about to regret his decision to leave.
It wasn't one of our greatest games but it was bound to be a nervy game. Our opposition had nothing to play for and we had everything. Perhaps the players knew that if we won, their holidays in the sun had begun!
So sad that B4 wasn't with us physically to celebrate this wonderful party but I really hope that he is celebrating somewhere. I loved the 'Be More B4' displays round the ground. It reminded us of what a smashing guy he was.
I loved all the scenes of the players after the match, being carried on shoulders, celebrating with families. Their relief was palpable and so well deserved. Well done to them all for achieving this promotion and well done to every single member of staff connected with the club.
I felt proud of Paul Warne for what he has achieved. He is a nice guy and I like him. Whether or not he can take us all the way, I am grateful for what he has done so far, for his passion for the club and for his care of the players. I felt very happy for him today. He has brought a good ethos to our club which I'm sure was part of David Clowes plan.
After everything we have been through over the last 2 years, the sadness, the uncertainty, the anger, we have achieved promotion and tonight Derby fans will go to bed feeling very drunk, ecstatic, full of positivity for next season or may be apprehensive. I think our club is in good hands and I am so grateful for David Clowes for getting us to this place. He loves this club and I am so grateful and reassured that he will not take any risks with this club which he loves as much as we do.
Sleep well tonight, fellow rams. Like I said, it has been a day of so many emotions, but tonight is joyous and a time for some fizzy!! X
