Whilst @GeordieRam maintains his polite and well reasoned opinions, (whether we agree with them or not), there should be no hints that he and/or his opinions aren’t welcome on here.
If he doesn’t share those opinions with us… the victims… the affected… the so called “homeless people”… then he has nobody else to share them with, because quite literally nobody else gives a T0$$!
Unfair to suggest that he is being insensitive by airing his views on here, IMO.
If he gets cocky, mind, or starts pointing and laughing at us, then strip him of his barcode, soak him in a vat of broon, then dunk him in The Derwent, I say!
    So far, he’s behaved impeccably.

Currently they may be well ran clubs but this will likely be a short term thing. Past flavours of the month include Swansea, Bournemouth, Fulham, Stoke, Bolton, Portsmouth, Cardiff, Middlesbrough...
It seems a strange thing to say but success does not necessarily mean that a club is being well ran. Football is chaotic and the only thing that generally gives a club some order amongst it is either appointing the right manager at the right time (which is absolute guess work and nobody chooses consistently well), or throwing money at it until eventually it pays off. Both Ashley and Morris have been fantastic businessmen but appear clueless within football and to me this says more about football than it does about these men.

Ashleys still a bit of a Bamford/Gibson though.

Bit unfair on the Geordie lad really. He is pointing out that Newcastle were a decent premier league outfit before Ashley took over, several years with a top 7 or above finish then once Ashley took over a decline with 2 relegations afterwards.

Brighton, Southampton, Leeds, Villa, Burnley, Brentford are all well run clubs.
The problem with Newcastle is that there has been no clear strategy, unlike the club mentioned above. They have a huge fanbase and with that comes expectation. The club just haven't looked like delivering anything of any substance. They've been relegated twice, close to the drop many times and survived in spite of Mike Ashley.

Newcastle had a great team in the 90s, regardless of not winning trophies then, they were a fantastic team to watch. Always found the Newcastle support to be passionate. Know a 90 year old Newcastle fan, can have great conversations about football of the 1930s and he remembers top Newcastle aides from decades ago.

Still 9th. Doesn't matter when they were, and in the Sky-PL age we've challenged and been regulars in European competitions before him.
It wasn't, Benitez galvanised the club, offered hope and is a top class manager. Look at what he's achieving with Everton having only spent £2m(?). Ashley had the chance to kick on, without spending big and willingly chose not to.
Perhaps, but when an owner skims off the top to the point where it's to the detriment of the club it's not good. It's only paper talk and I know you'll take almost anyone with the club almost on it's knees but I hope that it isn't Ashley. I don't know if there's anyone else in the running, I hope there is. Someone better.
Anyway, I truly wish you, others on this board and the whole of DCFC nothing but the best, assuming I forget my login details, which I probably will. You should come through this, too much of a standing in the game to not. I hope.

He is terrible. What has he done? They went down twice during his tenure. Relegation battle practically every season. They've stayed up in spite of Mike Ashley. Poor player recruitment, poor manager recruitment, poor training ground. That club has been doing nothing for years. And when you take into account the history and size of the fanbase, it's shocking.
Derby fans are giving Ashley credit because Mel Morris has sold us down the river. Just because we've been run like crap doesn't mean Ashley is a great football club operator. Mel Morris was just that bad. We expect an owner to not gamble away the future of our club.

Interesting comments and good to read a Newcastle fan’s opinion. Think Derby fans just want a club to support in years to come . Don’t know if Mike Ashley is interested in Derby or who else is but think fans will welcome anyone at this moment to prevent liquidation. Tough times

You can kick on and not throw around silly money. The two things aren't mutually exclusive.
Leicester spent a total of 25m on Kante, Vardy, Maguire and Mahrez. They sold 3 of them for a total of 172m.
Newcastle spent 40m on Joelinton. Yes. 40 million British pounds. They'd be lucky to get 5m for him.
They are a poorly run football club. Enough said.

I do think that this needs fully publishing for the whole football world to be aware of what is happening to show some Gibson types for what they are and to send a message to clubs like QPR that things may well come back to haunt you.

What satisfaction is this guy getting from trying to harm the club. You made your point now leave it. Mel left, we're suffering the consequences. Concentrate on your own awfully ran club for a change.

If Derby ceased to exist, football would cease to exist. I would cancel Sky Sports and not watch, talk  about  or follow football ever again, at international or club level.
Any Government , football authority,  any entity or person in any way responsible by act of omission or commisison for the demise of Derby would not get my vote, attention or co-operation and would be villified and despised for the rest of their existence. Not that I bear any grudges , mind.

The only way I'd consider supporting another club is Derby fold is if it were a lower league/non-league club. The lower leagues are the only place where the soul of football still exists. I never have and will never understand the appeal of supporting a team like Man Utd fro example.

I haven't watched any other football, bar the Euros in patches, last season or this season.  I feel so far removed from the Anfields and Old Traffords nowadays they may as well not exist. I think a lot of it is the buying up and renting back of young players by premier league clubs   Different league so you don't know how they'd perform, but we had to let go two players for around 2.6 million, who will get loaned out for double that over the next 12 months, to Liverpool and Man city. Those two players in our squad this year could have got upwards of 15 million if they played to potential.  Whole thing makes me barf to be honest.

There is a possibility Derby could be liquidated, it will not happen though. Derby may be in a hole but they have bags of potential, they have a  massive fan base and clubs with this will always find a way to dig themselves out. They just need the right men in charge to do it.
There is however one constant truism that always accompanies situations like this. The doomsayers are always out in force. To quote the famous poem by Albert Edgar Guest
There are thousands to tell you it cannot be done,
There are thousands to prophesy failure,
There are thousands to point out to you one by one,
The dangers that wait to assail you.
Some people take joy in prophesying and forecasting the worst case scenario.  It may be they are expressing their own paranoia as a therapeutic measure or they may be the type who get a thrill from spreading doom and gloom. Whatever it is, it is a time for people who love their club to grow thick skins and learn to ignore such negativity until it comes from people who genuinely have their finger on the pulse and are speaking facts not fears.

Isn’t that what Lee Dixon is, and all those other annoying Co-commentators that just talk about their glory days over the game. I got the term from wwe to be honest, I just thought that’s what Co-commentators are called. They’re not really Co-commentators, cos they don’t do any commentating, they’re just there to add colour.

I don't like our club being singled out for doing what many others have done before - bent the rules. I want to get away with as little in the way of EFL punishment as we can. We don't really deserve all the poo that is flying our way. It pisses me off deeply to see that poo-for-brains Gibson and idiot Maguire on their one person crusades against us.
