Kathcairns reacted to Norman in Alan Nixon Breaks Silence on American Billionaire Bid
I just want a football club that has a chance of staying in the Championship this season and not facing the prospect of selling Bird etc. in January. If not, being run sensibly in League 1 and retaining as much of our young talent as possible.
Anything else I would class as massively greedy considering the position we are in.
Couldn't give a duck if he has billions or just enough for us to operate sustainably. His attitude to the future of our club is more important.

Having a billionaire owner won't automatically make everyone happy, otherwise Mike Ashley wouldn't have been drummed out of Newcastle and Arsenal fans wouldn't be unhappy with Stan Kroenke. For now, we just need someone with the funds to buy the club and the integrity and know-how to run it properly on at least a break-even basis. If they have the money to fund losses within ffp limits and invest in infrastructure too, that'd be a bonus.

Did you miss the post where he said "I am not a billionaire"? ?

Brentford already proved it's possible to run a sustainable club and succeed.

I thought MM said we had a sustainable model now?
Even with our points deduction we are looking competitive.
Bielik back soon.
Add a striker to this squad and we could be very competitve and also not leaking money.

Enjoyed the honesty, found it very refreshing.

Well the main thing is that there are people who actually want to buy us - in this football climate that’s a mightily impressive result

Kathcairns reacted to Steve Buckley’s Dog in Charlton Athletic and Ipswich Town to sue Derby County
Charlton Athletic are set to sue Derby County for £25 million after the ball burst in the 1946 FA Cup Final. If it hadn’t burst then we might have won or got some good players or something, said a Charlton spokesman. Meanwhile Ipswich Town also announced they were going to sue Derby County due to some reason or other. We might have won more games if they hadn’t beaten us in them, cited an Ipswich spokesman. It simply wasn’t fair that they had better players and scored more goals. We want £40 million and Martyn Waghorn back.
Meanwhile American fast food chain McDonalds announced that they were going to sue Derby County for fielding a player with their brand name. Flagrant breach of copyright, claimed a spokesman for the evil corporation.
In other news the EFL announced a further 9 points deduction for Derby County after the midlands side finished their 0-0 draw against Swansea with 5 full backs on the pitch. Everyone knows you should have two full backs, said a source close to Rick Parry. Derby ended the game with 5 players who full back could be considered their tecognised position. That is clearly too many. We checked the rules but couldn’t find anything specific about this so we all agreed that 3 points per extra full back sounded about right.
Meanwhile Wycombe have announced they aren’t going to sue Derby County for getting them relegated by buying Nick Blackman when they were two leagues below after they realised it was totally ridiculous and so far fetched as to be laughable.
*Has anything ever gone wrong with your football club? Not won enough points? Let in last minute winners to players who can’t even drive and park their car properly? Why not sue Derby County? Contact Gibson and Parry Solicitors for your claim form.

Didn't the administrators make any potential owners provide proof of funds of £5 million? Therefore he's at least a multi millionaire.
-
Kathcairns reacted to Stive Pesley in Alan Nixon Breaks Silence on American Billionaire Bid
Yep - From what they are saying it's more that they have lodged a speculative claim with the administrators
Which will be looked at and the exam questions are "are they legitimately owed this money?" and "would DCFC have paid this money to them if they hadn't entered administration?"
That'll be a brace of "no's" then
Idiots. I might as well lodge a claim for a refund on my last 10 years season tickets as we "failed to get promoted"

Kathcairns reacted to SSD in Alan Nixon Breaks Silence on American Billionaire Bid
At least this chap has a legitimate business, unlike the previous potential owners. Not a dodgy shady group with no clue as to where the wealth comes from.
Fingers crossed he keeps quiet on social media and gets the deal over the line.

Kathcairns reacted to Day in Alan Nixon Breaks Silence on American Billionaire Bid
See where you're coming from, thought it was a decent letter to the fans though, acknowledging his interest in buying the club and confirming he his going through the process now.
We've all been looking for communication, knowing what's going on, now we know we have at least one confirmed party instead of a Daily Mail "sources" liquidation headline.
How credible he is will be down to the administrators and EFL.

Maybe he gave me covid, I’m sure I caught it on Tuesday!
I’m quietly very excited about this, that was a very thoughtful and positive press release.

"In business, I believe in transparency, trust, humility and respecting authority."
Interesting. Possibly a reference to Mel's actions, or he wants the EFL to see this statement as well.

Kathcairns reacted to Ghost of Clough in Derby finally accept 21 point deduction.
If clubs file for administration as a result of Derby successfully appealing the deduction, then it's highly likely those clubs will fail their own appeals... evidence will point towards Covid not being the cause of them going into administration.

Not a single mention by "The Baron" as to why we're appealing the 12 points inthat Article...shyte reporting!

Kathcairns reacted to Tamworthram in Bad behaviour by Derby (& coventry) fans again
I understand your point and agree. However, to say they’re going to strictly enforce it for certain rows but not others takes it to another level.
If I had my way, clubs that can afford it (so that excludes us ?) should be allowed to install safe standing areas and sell equally priced seated and standing tickets for home and away supporters. Sitting in seated areas would strictly enforced. I’m no health and safety expert but I’m convinced that safe standing systems are far safer than allowing standing in a seated area.
