Chris_Martin reacted to DCFC Kicks in Paul Warne
I've never seen you try and understand or give any sort of rational response to people who give genuine criticisms. You just turn up insulting and laughing at people.

you can keep trying to make stuff up it if it makes you happy, but i've been consistent with my views on warne, win lose or draw, since last season.

Rosenior attracted better players when we didnt even have an owner to pay them

I agree. It also makes it harder to 'enjoy' him being our manager, for some anyway. Whatever was thought of Roseniors football style I think you could be sure he wanted to be here and for the Club to achieve things with him.

Agree, seems hard to believe that some folk didn’t think that was pretty abysmal…but there you go 😆

So, you believe people have come to their opinions because we lost? I have come to mine after watching last season and this, all the home games and quite a few away. Also by listening to what a broad range of people have had to say about it. From my own assessment of our recruitment over 3 transfer windows which I think Warne is largely, if not completely responsible for. From seeing how he utilises the academy. From listening to him.

His time at Birmingham has no impact on the job he did here though, or the football he played here.

you keep saying about the restrictions affecting us but the fact is, we have the strongest squad and the highest wage bill in the league. Whether we're in a rebuild or not doesn't matter, we have the players needed right now.
why do you seem convinced that entertaining football and a high league position can't go together. why do you always see it as a trade off?
Is it not a case of recency bias that you see this football not being worse? Rooney's first 6 months were bad, but the season after that was actually pretty decent. I saw Rooney address this in a recent interveiw he did, saying that his first six months at derby were all about adapting to the opposition just to survive that season. Then the next season he worked on an identity and a way of playing because in his words 'adapting to the opposition every week is just not sustainable'. This is exactly what warne is doing right now by changing formation every game and never trying to control match's.

Rosenior threw a new (and impressive) squad together from nothing under incredibly difficult circumstances and had us in seventh, playing progressive football and arguably unlucky not to be higher.
If people think he had his chance and failed, fair enough I guess. But it's a bit rich if those same people defend Warne on the basis he is acting under incredibly difficult restrictions, needs more time to impose his style, has new players who haven't fully settled and gelled, etc etc etc...

the way of playing doesn't help either, lots of sprinting, chasing the ball, lack of control and therefore hard to conserve energy

We conceded 1 goal per game in the league in 22/23. This season its almost identical, we have conceded 0.95 goals per game in the league, despite having better defenders this year.

Still waiting for all those positives - that aren't about us being 2nd just because we happen to have played more games than others.

well, yes. it's been going on for so long, and we all know the players are capable of better as the majority of the squad have been competant championship players. It therefore has to be the coaching, or lack of.
whats warne actually done ? can you list some things he's definetely improved?

Good point. I was referring to their energy levels while they're not injured😆.
The amount of running and brutishness Warne demands our striker does makes it almost inevitable that they all get injured at some point.

How bad would you have to be for the defence to get worse when you often play with only one or two natural attacking players?
