Kingpin got a reaction from Grimbeard in Baseball Ground Memories
100%. This was the true end for our BBG. Nothing after had quite the same edge to it. ?

Kingpin got a reaction from SKRam in Baseball Ground Memories
Seems like a groundbreaking concept now?.
Also I didn’t know telephone collection was available at the BBG.
Who else remember queuing straight AFTER matches to get your ticket for the next big game. Think we left games early in order to get a good place in the queue.

The odd interview comments suggest to me that something terminal has already taken place.

Kingpin reacted to loweman2 in Derby County Shirt Collection
One of the rarest Derby County shirts,
I have never seen a player version let alone in long sleeve !
It’s the Admiral Centenary away shirt from the 1984/85 season, most probably worn by Rob Hindmarch rip.
It has been kept in fantastic condition by its previous owner.
A real piece of history that captures vividly that snapshot in time of 100 years of the club.
We really need a museum at our club for everybody to share in these shirts and items that we keep finding and the great work being done by @lukeyb07 @P_T4T_R4M @dcfccollection and of course the @RamsHeritage .
There is a great display at Pride park on the 3rd and 4th June to give a taste of what could be expected come and join us.

Kingpin reacted to loweman2 in Derby County Shirt Collection
To Derby County fans of a certain age this man was God, he was our generations Kevin Hector, his name would reverberate around the Baseball Ground for many years, even long after he had left us, it was his goals that dragged us kicking and screaming up the football league, Peter Taylor’s last moment of genius to add to those many legends he had spotted years before with his mate Brian.
Bobby is a super proud man, he still doesn’t understand the cult hero status that he holds in Derby with the fans, I think that it is a sad reflection on football that he is now working as a baggage handler at Leeds airport.
He should be walking around in diamond encrusted shoes, driving his Aston Martin, he has tried numerous years to let back into the club as a coach with the youth team but that became impenetrable under a certain individual and also MM.
He worked at St George’s for the FA for a number of years.
In my eyes he is an absolute legend of Derby County, an absolute idol as a kid, when everybody else had the keegans, dalglshes and Linekers we had Bobby, we might have been in the third division but it didn’t matter !
he never missed those one on ones with the keeper, he got his head in where it hurt and he had that great 80s moustache.
so heres to you Bobby Davison, Derby loves you more than you will know !

This was regular in C-Stand at the BBG also. Proper jeering, but maybe 6-10 or more doing it. ?

Kingpin reacted to Srg in Your visit to the Wham Stadium 15th October 2022
It is a shame their petty, and frankly deluded, manager sours the club somewhat.
