  1. All successful sides can all look after themselves or they wouldn’t win anything our most successful period was probably between 1968 and 1976 those teams contained Mckay,Carlin,Mcfarland,Todd,Powell,Rioch,Newton,Gemmill,O’Hare,Lee and George most of these players were exceptionally skill full but could look after themselves the only one I’d say that was dirty was Rioch I’m a bit to young to remember Carlin playing for Derby, my first season watching the rams was 71/72 not a bad season to start

They may have been lucky in that respect, and good for them and especially for the Bellinghams. However they were completely without restrictions. Their owners screwed up big time. Their choice of manager meant that 3 separate managers whose individual records would have kept them up completely ruined their season. The players although they possibly achieved what was expected of them or more under those three managers, basically downed tools under Rooney. The owners and the players have been relegated because they deserve to be.

The fans follow the team through choice. They don't have a divine right to success. We fans have suffered relegation through the team not being good enough. I never, and indeed never heard anyone else, asked for sympathy because we had been relegated. We took it on the chin when we got eleven points in the Prem. As I said, no sympathy whatsoever for their relegation. I bloody love it though that they have been. I hope that they spend the next five years trying to get out of the 1st Division. Their fans for their "sympathy" towards our plight can suffer that 💩 league and I'll delight in each year they spend there.

I don’t particularly think the players downed tools under Rooney he tried to get them to play like Man City and they couldn’t. A good manager will adapt to what players he has and gradually bring in players to suit the style of play he wants. Rooney tried to change style to quickly.

Still great to see them go down and Eustace’s Blackburn win at Leicester condemn them to division 1🤣

Bernard Hill has died aged 79 - he may have been in Titanic and Lord of the Rings, but to my generation, he'll always be 'Yosser' Hughes - an absolutely masterful performance - RIP

Ben Whittaker, I don't think the way he fights and who he's fighting is investment for future opponents.

Can't really explain what it is that don't sit right. It's not that the showing off is disrespectful. It's that it flatters his performance. I think he's done nothing more than you'd expect from an Olympic champion (silver?). Perhaps unfair but I'd be wanting to see him really finishing the job when he's ready rather than toying with his food.

Maybe unfair. Just remember Josh Kelly looked like a world beater with that kind of Olympic style of point scoring. Then you meet guys who will come through you and you have to be able to punish them.

Whittaker seems to be similar. Fur coat, no knickers type thing.

Harsh for 7 from 7? It should be 7 quick KOs imo and if it's gone the distance then it should be to a durable come forward opponent and it's against those you'd want to see him working harder instead of running off dancing?

For all his skills he isn’t a big puncher and will find it a lot tougher when he moves up in class. Reminds me a bit of Errol Christie who looked great until he started to fight opponents who hit him back. Errol wasn’t a asshole like Whittaker though

  5. No complaints with the result I had Clarke just nicking it by a round. I thought if the ref took a point off Clarke for low blows he should have taken a point off wardley for continually trying to hit Clarke with the back of his hand.
Great scrap but can’t see either being good enough to fight at the highest level

I'm 48 he was the Scotland manager when I was a kid pretty sure he was also at Manchester United

What is exactly wrong talking about Scottish players?

I don't understand what the issue is about signing players from up north?

When we have had a history filled with such players when we were doing well

It sounds as if there is a snobbery about Scottish football that don't quite understand especially now that Scotland is rising as a football nation again

Pot 1 in the nations league over taking us

SPFL is also a higher ranked league than Denmark Norway Sweden Finland Iceland

Docherty was Scotland manager 52 years ago and are you seriously suggesting that Scotland are currently better than England. England won at hampden 3-1 a few months ago and the scoreline flattered Scotland.

Nobody has a problem signing Scottish players we’ve had some great players in the past. We just don’t need to sign every Scottish player that’s ever laced up a pair of boots

    Any player suggestion?

It will depend on a few factors, what league we are in, what our budget will be in said league and if we don’t get promoted who the manager is. Who we retain ie will Cashin leave if we get promoted I think it would be detrimental to his career to have another season in league one. Will we retain any that are out of contract at the end of the season

I would definitely try and sign Adams but not being privy to our budget I don’t know what players we could attract but I’m sure we won’t be paying any of them £20K a week

Read through the comments I've already spoke about the clubs financial situation

Loads of dosh getting freed up for new players on free transfers

Every player has a price if we get offers they'll go that is the reality of football these days ever club is a selling club

Championship the levels going up and the suggestions I've made I'm sticking with

Lyall Cameron would be a great signing even if its a case of tracking him until his contract wind's down if we can afford the £500 000 that they would probably accept for him

I haven’t got time to read through the comments I want to go to  the Bolton game tomorrow

Top earner at Blackburn is on £18 000 a week not shy of the £20 000 mark that I've spoken about

It's funny though that this gets dragged up.and not trying to sign Baccus Barron Strain for free on £4 grand a week a significantly lower wages than what a lot of our players get just now and Barron would have a high celling for selling on at 21 if he did well but having played European football at such a young age the chances are that he would make it in the championship Swansea seemed to think so

Baccus Barron Strain doesn’t he play that Ali G character I’m sure he plays for Staines massive

  10. Eddie Hearn gets on my tits going on about AJ being best heavyweight in the world he got schooled twice by Usyk. I like AJ and he seemed to have finally recovered from his knockout against Ruis. I just don’t like Hearn or Warren for that matter they think boxing fans are idiots

I'm not sure that tops the Wilder win does it?

He was punch perfect Vs Wilder who might have been inactive but I'm not sure that was a great performance tonight!

Am I being harsh? He took over eventually but he left the ball in Zhangs court a lot, no?

I’m not sure because Wilder is a very poor boxer and unless he knocks you out he’ll get beat, Zhang just didn’t work hard enough due to his lack of fitness. It certainly wasn’t a great performance by Parker
