  1. Looks like he’s going to be latest in a long line of players at this club where there’s a section of the fan base who slate him if he doesn’t score or assist whenever he’s on the pitch, even if it’s only 10 mins off the bench.
  2. Take it we've not had a better view of it on replay, either? Didn't really look off from the standard angle but hard to tell.
  3. Elder and Fozzy are back fit and could be on the bench.
  4. I feel Warne has tipped his cap in his post match interview on Saturday. Paraphrasing, but he said there's 18 halves of football and the lads need to gas out in every one. I agree, to be fair. Ride it to the wheels fall off.
  5. Well, no, he's not a traditional CDM. I said we don't need a Eustace type, and he isn't that. Eustace couldn't move. He covers far more ground, which is something I've been an advocate for for years.
  6. It is from a "getting up for it" perspective. Team talk isn't needed on Saturday, they all know how big the game is. Keeping eyes on Tuesday first and fully focused on it is important. Reading are the type of team we have struggled against, and it wasn't a shock when we lost at their place. They are an athletic team which can expose some of our slow tendencies. Let's hope the formation/personnel we are using at the moment will fair better.
  7. I think they'll be selling Murillo in the summer for a fair whack. Maybe less if they go down but should be somewhere between £30-50m. He's easily their best player.
  8. Like your post in general, just not sure who's been saying Adams isn't a Warne player? He tried to find his League 1 N'golo Kante in Fornah and turns out that isn't his forte, so he went and tried again with Adams. He's been desperate for it all year.
  9. A hat trick is a hat trick, but it was against a team from the NLN, a division lower than Gateshead. Let’s hope they give him a shot in the league.
  10. He is definitely an asset. I think the main frustration is most of us know what he can do, and just doesn’t seem to do it enough. Be great if he can hit form now for the run in.
  11. He definitely does in this formation. Admittedly only seen the goals today, but he was in some really different positions last week.
  12. Couple of comments online from Gas fans… “Derby probably the best team we’ve played all season. Just quicker to everything and always had an extra man in attack. Wasn’t Gayle’s goal though. Their number 7 scored and the ref didn’t give it despite it being 2 yards over the line. Then in the scramble it probably hit Gayle and went in off his arm on the ground.“ “If that was 10-0 I’d have no complaints. Good of a team and fans I’ve seen come here.”
  13. I really hope the plan is to give him a proper run at the first team in the summer (especially if we are in this league). He has every attribute you need if he can just put it together.
  14. Pretty perfect afternoon. Take that all day. Let’s hope Bird is ok.
  15. Very likely with Hourihane in a 2, even with Adams’ ground covering ability. Barkhuizen is going to need to chip in considerably.
  16. Ref should’ve stopped it on the first one. He was clearly done. It’s on the ref not Ngannou. That said, between all these fighter crossovers and now Tyson vs a YouTuber on Netflix… boxing is less entertaining and more scripted than wrestling.
  17. It was a bit of a "yikes" comment to make. Deservedly lost his media job over it. It's all moot as it's never realistically going to happen, but it may not be publicised as much because it was in Italy. Ironically though, he said it about Rudiger who was good for Chelsea and now plays for Real Madrid... so maybe he's just not a great judge of talent anyway.
  18. Unlikely. The backlash over his racism would be too much.
  19. Bit of a misleading tweet, to be honest. It would be ruled an own goal as the initial shot was going wide, not purely because of the deflection.
  20. No one is ever beating 11 points, and I've long since made peace with that. The rest of it is just whatever, but Sheffield United are truly horrific. That's 16 goals conceded in their last 3 home games (a record). 3 teams have scored more goals at Bramall Lane this year than they have.

    Festy Ebosele

Because Ebosele was pure pace and athleticism. There was no finesse to it, often not much of a plan either. Just needed harnessing. Ebiowei had the pace but there was a class and creativity to him which Ebosele didn't have. Obviously, this is just splitting hairs and there's tremendous value to both. Just a thought why someone would prefer one to the other.
  22. I should really just be a black and white flag with the word Flange written across the front. Maybe in pink. That would be perfect.

    Paul Warne

His hold up/lay offs are better than I thought as well. Still has a bit of spring for his size, too.
  24. Sibley is, and always has been, one of the only players we have who can score from out of nothing. Doesnt seem to matter where he plays, he’s liable to get a goal somehow. That’s a serious asset. He was very good yesterday, including defensively. Made some good tackles. Please start next week and don’t get subbed after 45mins.
