  1. If the ball hit his arm and went in, it would be disallowed on VAR regardless of affecting the outcome. That's just how that rule works. It was clearly so subtle that no one really appealed for anything. Is what it is, just unusual for us to be on the right side of things 2 games running.
  2. Move over Mystic Meg
  3. We play during the international break, our game didn't get postponed.
  4. I know he and Ward went off as a precaution, but do we know they won't make Northampton?
  5. If you want attacking, you’d want Sibley, not Elder in the left position. Mad seeing people leave out Barkhuizen. He’s one of the few we have who make runs off the ball! Frankly, I’d be trying to figure out some combination of NML, Barkhuizen and CBT as that’s the trio with the pace and athleticism to cause teams problems. Then just hope we have a striker other than Waghorn fit asap.
  6. Are you trying to tell me Scottie’s tissues were an accident?
  7. This is how I saw it to. Akin to how teams used to mark Keogh and let Curtis Davies have the ball, or whoever it was next to him. We saw it stifle us playing it forward often. Clever plan really.

  9. Credit Barkhuizen first half, too. Noticed at the time he never left his side when we were out of possession. Warne then confirmed in his interview that it was the tactic. So he was clearly doing it if it was noticeable!
  10. My favourite decision was where Waghorn punched it into the net and he didn’t give it.
  11. Knew you were having a laugh when you said Bradley has been playing well.
  12. No, other than it being hamstring. Warne said could be anything from 2 weeks to 2 months.
  13. Just some random thoughts on the game: Fight and determination is there in spades. It’s brilliant to see. Fozzy fills me with far more confidence than Bradley, I can’t lie. Isn’t as interested in letting the ball bounce and wrestling. Hourihane was horrific. Thankfully dragged off. We can’t keep carrying him every game while his legs have so obviously gone. Is Bird back yet? Interesting to hear Barkhuizen and Ward came off due to precaution. Did wonder why those two, as Barkhuizen’s runs were one of the brighter points first half. What we do next re striker is going to be massive. Waghorn hasn’t got it anymore, but he needs to find something for a week or two until someone else is back fit to help. Gutted for Gayle. Wildsmith phenomenal. Think he needed that performance.
  14. We all can, and have, say what we want about Paul Warne and some of the players. But what cannot be denied is that this group run through brick walls for him. The grit, determination and will from this group is fantastic.

    NFL 2023 Season

We likely would have, but it's still nonsensical to throw a lot of money at a much worse player a year after you could have at least attempted to do something worthwhile.

Because why would you not even try if you're going to do this deal with Cosuins anyway?
  17. They haven't bought Reading's academy... they can run whatever level of academy they want. They just have the facilities which are way better than what they have now for pennies on the pound no doubt.
  18. It's a relatively new facility, not far from Wycombe. They won't be owning another team's training ground, they'll be using it themselves.
  19. I watched Jimmy McSporran the other week. He was in a titanic tussle against 6ft 5 centre back Bucky Fass for Aviemore Avalanche.
  20. Too far ahead? Pompey play Posh this weekend, there’s a world where on Saturday night we are 2 points behind them with still needing to play them.
  21. Just seen Dai Yongge has agreed to sell Reading’s training ground to… none other than their ambulance chasing rivals, Wycombe Wanderers. Rob Couhig is absolute scum.
  22. Come back Oldben, all is forgiven.
  23. He overran it, again, because his legs have gone and just went down. Weak link in this team at the moment.
  24. Two points here: 1) The thread is only named this because of when we tried to sign George after his loan, the transfer thread was 100s of pages and it was an ongoing obsession for months. Nothing to do with the respective abilities of George and Ebou 2) We're a League One club with League One players.
