It IS only Matlock….but that’s a great cross by Ward and a good finish by Collins. I said it a fair few times last season that I just wanted to see Collins in the 18 yard box rather than haring around in the channels. Some are sceptical and I understand why but I can see Collins getting 15-20 this season if the system is right (e.g. him in the box and everyone else doing the running around, pressing and crossing). He managed 12 last year in all comps and he wasn’t the main man so it’s not too much of a stretch to see him getting 4/5 more this season.
He was still less than convincing outside the box. First touch of Teflon.

Hasn't he just gone to Burnley for something like £15m?
£19m I think, yeah.

Brown travelling to Spain with the first team. Hopefully will get some minutes against Salford… Managed well he will develop into some player
Very good news. He’s the type of player that could come in and score some goals for us this season. Potentially worth some decent money to someone if that does happen too.

He definitely was. Shame there wasn't the same quality of 1st half service. Look forward to seeing more of him.
I think he deserves an extended look through pre-season and some time with a better supporting cast. Let’s see what he does. If it works, he solves so many problems.

Thought Moore played OK he was main outlet and kept the ball well. Smith bossed the game and Bird still can't shoot.
Smith gave it away a lot. Not a lot happened positively or negatively that second half. Think Radcliffe and Brown probably only ones worth mentioning.

Still 1-0…?
No, it’s 2-0. Radcliffe.

Bit of a non-event this second half. Few kids which look a bit off being good enough for the first team.

Was saying to my mate love us to have a kinda v raw dean strurridge type in our locker this season. Not to rely on but for cameos to learn and develope and give us a real pace and power option
if it comes from the academy even better
Honestly looks capable of contributing.

Collins is so frustrating. In the box? Great. Gets involved in the build up play? Yikes. Can we carry him and not have him getting involved too much outside the box?
-
Barkhuizen of injured, limping. Radcliffe replaced him.
Vickers on after 30 mins. Wildsmith had 1 save.
Collins still can’t trap a bag of cement.

Early early days but good start for Elder and Thompson.

I paid extra and it's live now so yep, its NOT included in subscriptions. Paid via paypal and it only charged me £1. Important thing is I get to watch it I guess.
It won’t have. That’s happened to me before.

Ok, who is Cox, Moloney and Moore?

I was talking about 'Didzy magic', the sort of player that it's worth paying to see play.
As much as we love flair and all that, I personally just want to win games. Especially in this league. I tend to believe that winning breeds confidence in play too, which improves things.

Brighton, a club in Europe, do not want Eiran Cashin. As much as I love the lad, that’s just silly.

Think contract extensions are on Clowes/Pearce’s to do list? If so Cashin, Bird and Sibley all worth discussing new terms if clubs are sniffing around.
BT listed a large number of contract extensions are being discussed a week or two ago.

Is that likely? if he has a year on his contract wouldn't be surprised. If he had constant form like he did for the first half of the season I think he'd be gone. I think his second half was patchy and probably puts him in the wait and see for 6 months category for decent level championship sides.
Not even a murmur of a rumour. So don’t know where that suggestion came from.

Getting the train in, just deciding whether to jump on the first one available or have a drink in Derby first.
Can't remember what pubs I actually liked in Matlock last time I went. Remarkable Hare possibly
You could get off in Matlock Bath first, have one at the Fishpond, Old Bank etc. then go to Matlock and jump in Remarkable Hare (or their next door venue which is more for just drinking), Monk Bar or Red Lion. Very good day out on the train that.

If we hadn’t signed Washington this would make a lot of sense. As it is, a 3rd striker 31+ doesn’t.
