Not strictly on topic, but...
People are stupid. Anyone who's spent an hour in the company of a person with a 100 IQ is pretty sure to recognise what I mean, when you reflect that half of people are no smarter than that. If you don't get this, well, maybe...never mind.
Anyway, the upshot of people being thick as mince is that society has to cater to the lowest common denominator.
My fridge is broken. It's a big American job which cost a grand, and worth trying to fix, so I go online and get into an chat with a rep from the manufacturer. 'My fridge is broken', say I, 'can I get an engineer out?'.
A little over half an hour's worth of questions later...'are you sure the door is shut?', 'is it plugged in?', 'is it next to a heat source?', ' is it in full sunshine?'.....she says, 'it seems to be broken, we'll have to get an engineer out'.
Eugenics. We need eugenics.
 

Touched on many times on this thread, lorries overtaking lorries etc.
Driving out on the A50 towards Uttoxeter yesterday, lorry pulled out to overtake a caravan. SatNav said 4.7 miles to next roundabout. Lorry eventually succeeds and pulls in, distance to next roundabout 2.7 miles. 2 miles to overtake one vehicle and people moan at middle-lane hoggers.

I dislike dogs. I dislike people who dress their dogs up even more. More than that, I dislike people who treat dogs like they are more important than humans. I also dislike people who make stupid baby noises and voices when they see a dog. 
Most of all I dislike people who think it's acceptable to allow a dog to lick their face (or anywhere else) no doubt having just licked their own arse or balls. 
The Koreans have the right idea about dogs.
I'd quite like a tortoise as a pet.
