Mihangel reacted to Phuket Ram in The Administration Thread
Jeez it’s astonishing how some people can grasp the point that’s being made re investors!
1. Clowse buys the ground and the club with his own cash - this saves the club, gets us out of administration and allows us to start trading, signing players, offering contracts etc.
2. AFTER he’s the new owner, he THEN need more investors to buy some of his shares off him, reduce his financial exposure, and share the losses. This can obviously take weeks, months or longer. But he’s prepared to stand the losses on his own for a period of time. We don’t know how long that period is, but I doubt it would be more than a year. Because although he’s a fan, he’s not stupid.

Mihangel reacted to rammieib in New manager, who do you want?
I want 100% Rosenoir to be the new manager.
I want the consistency. I want him to be able to maintain some of the relationships he has built with players including non contracted players.
He deserves the gig. Let’s not forget, a Championship side wanted him as their manager and a few on here are saying he’s not good enough?
Has Mac definitely gone to Man Utd? Would he make a good assistant? Either way - I’m not sure Rosenoir needs lots of experience in the number 2 role - he just needs a very good coach. Maybe a Michael Carrick type individual or maybe someone more offensive minded.
Either way, what worries more is whether we can offer him the job whilst in Administration? Three days (if that’s what the deadline for Clowes is) is three days wasted to get new players in etc

Steve Cooper being on there is intriguing. I mean, we usually lurch from manager to manager, but this would be an opportunity to lurch from manager to, er, lurch....

Davies wants Rosenior, so that'll do for me. Agree about the experienced (in L1) assistant though, we will need to reform our scouting network and in the meantime we need someone in who has an eye for a player at this level.

You can't fault his integrity throughout this debacle.... but I can question his departure after eventually it a falling into place

Mihangel got a reaction from Premier ram in Rooney leaves
My slept on it thoughts (©Ed Dawes) - This has certainly soured my view of Rooney - We know every manager goes eventually but I'm not sure this timing could have been worse. Day 1 of a new owners reign, he will need to find a new manager. Players left even more in limbo than they already were and potential signings may be having second thoughts. As I alluded to on page 1, many of us will be eternally grateful to Rooney and in a couple of years, this will be a mere footnote in our history but right now I feel a little let down!

Has to be Rosenior - Some semblance of continuity is essential, if Liam walks, what have we got left? I very much doubt he would want another Assistant role, now is the time to give him a chance

The timing of his departure is absolutely appalling I agree. But as one who went to all of the 9 away defeats in a row , maybe this might just be the right thing in the longer term. ?

Would be very happy with Rosenoir taking over. Cheaper option, great coach and knows the EFL leagues.
Im gutted he’s gone - I think most players will now go, but I’m also annoyed because we appear to have allowed the resignation and thus, no compo when he goes somewhere else.

Clean slate, fresh start. The fact Rooney has walked at this exact time suggests a lot about his involvement with the Kirchner bid, and I feel we would have continued to be the media circus we already have become, on an even bigger scale. I will be glad to have our great football club referred to as Derby County again and feel this could work out to be very good in the long run.

Why is it always a pat on the head swiftly followed by a kick in the b**locks. I've been a massive advocate of Rooney since he got the job but he's gone down in my estimation because of the timing.
If he had resigned straight after the Cardiff game, I would have wished him well and thanked him for a memorable season, but this timing has completely p***ed me off.
If you had canvassed 10,000 f*rest fans, when the best time would be for Rooney to resign, they would have picked today, the same day that we are given hope that the club has a future, 2 days before the start of preseason, 5 days before players can walk away for free, and probably a couple of weeks before we will even have somebody in a position to appoint a new manager.
Even though I know it isn't this feels like sabotage.
