To be fair Marinakis has only been charged with verbal abuse of a referee, match fixing, involvement with criminal gangs and drug trafficking. He hasn’t, as far as I know, been involved in state sponsored genocide so needs to up his game if he wants to fit in with his premier league pals.

That’s dodgy ground that is. That’s a success at all costs, damn your pride and ethics, mentality. that is sticking your head in the sand, your fingers in your ears and and screaming ‘la la la, I’m not listening.’ That’s being a Newcastle fan.
You know and I know that legally, he hasn’t been found guilty of anything, but there’s literally no smoke without fire. He is clearly as dodgy as f***, and it’ll catch up with him one day. Or maybe it won’t, but the point is, he’s not going to jail for forest. As soon as the league clamps down on sources of income, and it all gets a little close to exposing all his shenanigans, then he will cut his losses and drop forest, and leave them in the s***, and never look back or think twice about the fans.

Hmm, a new forest fan to play with.
The point is, he only has Forest to sportswash. As soon as he’s not able to do that anymore, he’ll ditch them. He has no great love for Nottingham, not like Fawaz. He has no reason to give crap if you go to the wall. Greece will always let him do what he wants, he’s a big fish over there, so Olympiakos will always be the club he can offload deadwood players onto. (Unless you really want forest to become that club). He has no reason to ever get rid of it, cos they’ll never stop him from using and abusing it. Britain is about to start clamping down on that sort of thing, and stopping the likes of Marianakis owning clubs in the first place. Unfortunately that’ll be too late for forest, when he leaves you with an impossible mountain of debt.

Reggie Greenwood reacted to Ellafella in John Motson Has Died
Was honoured to meet him outside Pride Park a few years ago and of course he was sheep-skin coated. Even though he was running to his car to get some vital kit prior to his MOTD broadcast, he stopped and spent 10 minutes chatting to us and allowing us to take pics with young Will & Edward. A thrilling memory for me and in those 10 minutes he recounted a Brian Clough anecdote and conveyed very great affection for the old Baseball Ground which he described as an icon of the game. Proper GOAT.

Barry Davies and John Motson - Ali and Frazier of their times. When I listen to commentators today, who think that only thing to do is shout I realise just how nuanced and talented their generation were. Even Hugh Johns, Brian Moore, Alec Weeks, Gerald Sinstadt put the current mob to complete shame.
