Just because you may not want to discuss the thread does not mean it can be ignored. The Club is being run in a proffesional manner, supporters are relieved ,we need a manager who can deliver success ! Nearly winning ,nearly being promoted is not an option.

I don't know about Mr Clowes patience, but isn't it about time these stupid repeat new threads were deleted by the mods?

Would it be worth opening another area on the forum like say the Jim smith room ect which is the warne out room where people can open endless warne out threads under countless headings ?

It really is not good enough a multi million pound layout for as of yet a mediocre return.lf l was Clowes l would be demanding answers.

Yet another thread about PW. Very tedious but I’ll reply anyway. 😀
I suspect he already has regular conversations with Warne. As for his patience, I suspect he has more than most of us on this forum and won’t be going into meltdown if we don’t go up this year or even end the season where we are now - 8th.

Depends on which part of the club you mean.
The academy 3 to 4 years
The first team 2 to 3 years
Behind the scenes - ticket office/admin/recruitment/groundstaff etc 1 to 2 years
IMO we’re on track in all

Collins fluffed his lines again had enough chances to walk away with the match ball with a bit of composure can't blame warne for that move on

Kind of a long the lines of my take on the we are all derby thread , we get a frustrating result / performance and all the usual suspects are out in force spouting the same old same old ( seen warne called a prat earlier ) and it makes the disappointment even more of a downer , get a good result / performance it’s all , don’t give it back we are all derby , duck that , it’s game on from now on 🤷🏻‍♂️

This forum is turning into a totally joyless place.
Thought that with our near extinction there would be now some vestige of positivity, new owner, new manager, new start.
    Sadly not.

How do you know that? I'm being genuine here. Have you commissioned a poll by YouGov that I have missed?

It’s not about getting a long term manager it’s about having a long term plan for the club

when warne is inevitably sacked the club will need another rebuild. A club with a plan will change the manager and not much else would need to be changed

i can’t give you a name of who the answer is, I haven’t done enough research but I can tell you there is dozens of quality coaches in youth football than are dying to manage a club like ours and look at where the two managers top of the championship have come from

as a club we’ve gotta take risks on managers now because we aren’t in a position to attract proven quality, you get cast offs in league one.

    This is a myth.
There is no such thing as a long-term guy at all but a tiny handful of clubs these days.

You say long-term, but if we are more poorly positioned after 12 months, you (or people like you) will be saying the exact same thing.

That's not a criticism, btw, just an observation.

I'm not a Warne fan or his harshest critic, but I think we have to stop convincing ourselves that it will be different next time a manager struggles because they are our long-term guy.

Warne is that long-term guy and it will only be different when we get immediate success.

We might be able to get rid if DC can underwrite the additional expense of concurrently paying two managers and two sets of backroom staff for 2 years.
Or he might be able to afford it but doesn't see the necessity for doing this.
    Or he can't afford it.
    Take your pick.

Saying that fans don't have many avenues to make their thoughts known is really unfortunate....there's this forum, there's Twitter or X, there's the recent fans forum at Pride Park, there's Instagram....
With all these avenues to be able to express themselves I do find it disappointing that certain fans can't feedback their thoughts without it descending into personal abuse which I totally agree with you on.
Says more about the "fans" then anything connected with the club.
