Exactly. Which means the council buying the ground doesn't mean the buyers will still stump up £30m to pay off creditors at 25% plus football creditors etc.
Maybe £10m for the DCFC name and goodwill plus £20m for the stadium is where they are?

I don't see any point in criticising people for their opinion on the council buying the ground. I don't think anyone is against it - comments seem to be solely about the chance of it happening.
If they choose noy to go that way, it'll not be because me and @Tyler Durden thought it unlikely.

    No that’s fair enough .
My opinion is that the Council should do everything reasonably possible to save DCFC .
I also want MM to tell us why he can’t help also but that may not happen

Just saying there might not be any viable options. If this doesn't fit in with the status quo on here then so be it. I don't have the answers.

I live in Breadsall Estate and didnt agree with the new baths being built on moorways instead of at the back of the busstation where it was first going to be built,2 bus journeys for a lot of families, but a can see your point of view.

Not many council white elephants are polarising as football is. It's just a risky way to spend public money - and doing polarising things isn't a ery council-like thing to do.
My mother for example has no interest in football. I'm sure a lot of people are the same. My dad hates it. They'd be up in arms if their local council spent £20m, good investment or not.
And how many local Forest, Leeds, Burton Albion etc. fans would vote for the same group of local councillors who pushed this through?
It just feels like the kind of thing a council would steer clear of, for self preservation reasons.

There did not seem to be anything happening outside the ground at 1.30, about a hundred people watching the Preston players get off the bus and the usual middle aged autograph hunters. The police were standing idly around and one joked that they should have called in the Chesterfield cops as back up.  All a bit of non event really.

That's why was asking would it be a unilateral decision by the leader of the council or would be subject to a council vote.
If the money being asked was going to be diverted away from other council spending then would be unpopular of course.

Probably in tons of debt - apart from the councillor’s expenses account which has probably got money shloshing about all over the place.

How exactly are Quantuma going to be able to make an interested party submit a formal offer for the club nevermind compel the same party to make that bid sufficient to satisfy the EFLs creditors requirements?
I don't see what leverage Quantuma have at all. Its out of their hands. We're now totally reliant on buyers thinking it's a good enough punt to spend their money on, Quantuma can't polish the turd which Morris left them to deal with.

Which the potential bidders would be patently aware of anyway.
We're sitting ducks atm at the pure whim of random business people whom may or may not decide to up their interest in us.

Apparently the charity who raffled the Notts County shirts are taking Derby County to court, claiming that the shirts are football shirts, making this a football debt. And as such they are due 100% of the price of the raffle ticket.
Quantuma’s response was to say that for that much money they might as well have the entire club.

Yes my point was again its not within Quantumas gift to compel a third party to make a formal bid for the club. So Quantuma really are passengers in all of this.
The only way to make the club more attractive is for Morris to chuck in the ground for a nominal amount in the deal. Which again is naff all to do with Quantuma.

It's actually Notts County's third away kit. We won it in a raffle.

I believe that there isn't a fixed time frame as such, but the moment the administrators discover that they cannot continue to trade profitably then they will be legally obliged to move to liquidation.

I'm thinking it's 12 months and it can run over one season to another. The legislation was changed in a rush when Ken Bates amended his offer for Leeds last minute and held up any Sale thereby completing a few weeks into a new season- not allowed before then.  At that point the supporters so keen on our liquidation for breaking the rules should have been thrown out the league.  The money is likely to be long gone before then though, unless we complete a sale or find 20 million in sales from the few players left under contract to get a load of frees, loans and wages to pay them.  We won't survive till September regardless unless something drastic occurs basically.

I think there's a maximum limit of 18 months before a club is expelled from the EFL. And you can't start 2 successive seasons in administration, but we just missed that so it's possible we can still begin next season in Admin with Quantuma at the helm.

Yes so as I put in my original message our ability to operate as a going concern will supercede all other matters.

Don't think there is a timeframe as such but if we are still in administration during the closed season when the EFL ask the administrators for proof that we can complete next season, which is looking unlikely, then the EFL can expel us from the league.
