I’m not suggesting anyone is right or wrong but I do question what is driving peoples point of view and I think sometimes it would be valuable to genuinely question whether you’re angry with Warne or whether you’re just generally angry that Derby lost.

Im always irrationally angry when Derby lose. I hate everyone- the opposition players, the opposition manager, derbys players and manager etc
After a bit of reflection, I often realise that none of those people are to blame. Or, if they are to blame like obviously Wildsmith was, there’s no value in demonising them. Wildsmith is a good keeper who happens to have made two high profile mistakes in recent games. He’s still good. He’s going to make more mistakes in his career.
Same with Warne. Would the grass be any greener with any other manager? I tend to doubt it

It’s difficult because it’s tempting to lump all the people commenting negatively about Warne into one group which is perhaps unfair.
However, in general it strikes me that everyone comes out so angry and negative when we lose and/or play badly and the amount cognitive bias is insane. We haven’t played that badly in that many games and we have won a number of games quite convincingly this season.

However, it is League 1. The pitches are bad, the players are quite bad (even the better players) and the tactics of a lot of teams are frequently to try and destroy football rather than create nice football.

We have been unable to recruit a replacement for Collins (Gayle hasn’t really had a go yet though) so inevitably that will have an impact. Personally I think we’ve got away with not signing another centre back as well.

From where im standing it seems that, if people took a minute to be remotely rational, they’d realise Warne is doing quite a good job. Not just in terms of league position but even in some performances and the recruitment has been pretty good given the constant contraints.

Of course I have criticisms. The main one is the lack of academy minutes but I’ll give him the benefit this season as the current generation was gutted during admin so that may change in coming years.

Win the next two and it'll feel a bit better.

    1. Salary Sport has Bradley on £395K pa. With our maximum permitted salary last season being £600K pa, it's hard to imagine Curtis earning less than what Bradley is this season.
    2. Who says Bradley can't play in a back 4?
3 Why are you ignoring Bradley's recent good form?
    4. Wasn't it Curtis' error that caused us to miss out on a playoff spot on the last day of the season?
    4. Cheltenham are still in the bottom 4 in both the league table and the current form table.
Don't misconstrue this as an attack on Curtis Davies - in his prime, he was far, far better than Bradley will ever be - but facts are at least as important as opinions on here.

Well Man City look a pretty ordinary premier league team sometimes. They’re still an exceptional side who’ve had lots of success. Football is random, you’re not going to be amazing every game. That’s even more so in League 1

If you listen to his interviews he is always harping on about managing the fitness of the older players, Gayle for instance, and why he isn't able to play full 90 minutes etc.
Yes the older players are going to be more susceptible to injuries, but you can't deny he has kept NML available for more games than most of his career, McGoldrick last season also, rarely unavailable after Warne came in. Collins despite his all action style hasn't been injured due to training.
Feels like this is just another stick to beat him with.

Honestly, there is so much tripe posted in here after a defeat it is laughable!
We've lost back to back league games for the 1st time.
We are 2nd in the table despite having to deal with a lack of attacking options.
Yes, we would all like to see more flair, more attacking football, but we just don't have the personnel for it atm, our financial restrictions have limited who we have been able to recruit and more importantly, IMO, who we were able to keep hold of.
I really wish we had played a 5 at the back last night with the lack of a left back being available, Sibley at LWB and Wilson at RWB would have given us more attacking options IMO, but he chose to play a 4 with Cashin at LB, a 4 that the vast majority are screaming for despite the personnel not being available.
No matter how poor the football is perceived to be by some, we ONLY lost to stupid, amateurish individual errors again, just like at the beginning of the season.
Is it Warnes fault that Wildsmith had another brainfart? We could see from the South stand that when the ball went forward he would never get there in time as he wasn't on his toes in anticipation, so he should have got close and stood his grd to make the player have to beat him.
Was it Warnes fault that the numerous mistakes from individuals cost us the 2nd goal, fgs, I came from us trying to pass it around at the back instead of launching it forwards (what most people complain about as Warne ball.... so it feels like all those moaners got what they deserved by trying to pass it around with league 1 players!).
I for 1 will be there on Saturday and give him my full support, despite not agreeing with some of his decisions,  after all, what do I know compared to the man that has us 2nd in the table?
And for all those that say any other manager would have us 1st, prove it, Where's the evidence? Who's to say we wouldn't have lost more games? Or is it just your opinion, a bit like mine, so worthless other than being an opinion of a fan that has watched thousands of games but never had access to the inner workings of a club out of administration and the coaching badges to allow me to be on the training ground.

Don’t be silly. We’ve played well in lots of games. Lots of teams have had periods of poor form. Everyone raved about Portsmouth- they were naff over Xmas. Everyone raved about Peterborough- they’ve dropped off the face of the earth.
Both Derby and Bolton are currently in a mini slump. Not the end of the world. All will look rosy again on Saturday when we batter Port Vale

I don’t really know what to say to this. To my mind, it seems very dramatic. Were we ever likely to dominate many games in league 1 where everyone is pretty gash? We have the second best goal difference in the league which does suggest we’ve been dominant relative to the league. What exactly do you think will happen if we replace Warne? We win every game from now until the end of the season 3-0?

If we do go up, I don’t doubt next season will be poor because, as you say, we will have worse players. We will probably finish in the bottom half. That’s what happens when you have worse players.

Warne and the players have 11-14 games to get things right. Clowes will be concerned about back to back losses but ultimately he will assess the situation at the end of the season when we know what division we’ll be in, so really so should we as a fanbase.
It’s not going to be helpful to do it any sooner. It’s crunch time. We all need to be pulling in the same direction, not getting the knives out after every less than perfect result. People talk about the club being short termist, yet where the manager’s future is concerned, many of our fans are the same.
Clearly Warne and the players are feeling the pressure, and need our support to get the job done. Instead, if last night is anything to go by, the players and the manager will be dragged over the coals.
People believe we have the best squad in the division and should be achieving more, but it doesn’t really add up. This is a League 1 group of players with the kind of limitations that are rampant at this level. Players don’t make the mistakes ours do and switch off in the way ours do with the same regularity in the Championship and above.
Portsmouth have set the pace and led the way since early on and look fully deserving of promotion. We need to step up and show we deserve it too. If we don’t, Barnsley, Bolton and Peterborough will definitely oblige.
Last night was a worry but we have to believe while it’s still possible.
