I honestly think 3 wins will be enough so that’s 90 points meaning this game is a free hit and that’s how I’d approach it

Id actually go for it and try and win it …no cautious approach and take the game to pompy if we lose trying to win I won’t mind as 3 wins which  I think we will get will mean Bolton have to win virtually all of there games as would Peterborough and that’s not going to happen so let’s go for it and if we win it we have one foot in the championship 👍🏻

Paul Warne has said we'll be going for the win as we intend to in every single game. The man doesn't do draws

And that's the nub really isn't it... especially next season with no restrictions,  no excuses about them not being his players etc... if we continue to play that way every week without the results he won't last long.

Can he genuinely change? Tbh I doubt it.... so its whether we keep on winning games or not.

I don't think sitting back on a 1-0 lead is the way Warne wants to play. I think from what we've heard from the man himself it's clear what he wants to do. High energy, high press, attacking football. And I think when we get some younger more 'athletic' players in, we will see that. He's hinted at it a lot this season.

If I had to witness a team getting back to back promotions resulting in a prem spot, I guess Ipswich would be as bearable as any.  No particular fondness for them, but certainly no ill-feeling towards them either, and I recall a similarity between us both just after I got into the Rams (mid '70's).  If I bothered to check, I suspect that similarity has pretty much remained for the past 50 years.

I do however, remain jealous of their FA cup final win back in '78 though!

Good luck to 'em, I say.

    EDIT:

Didn't they hold the record for the number of failed Play Off attempts to reach the Prem at some stage?  It could be argued they are about due this promotion.

Yes they hold the record along with us.

We've both reached the playoffs a record eight times and only been promoted once each. They've only reached the final once though.

I'd say we're both due a bit of success.

It is, but Bolton now play before us twice on the row, so will trying to put pressure onto us. They can't be too confident for 6 points from Reading and Bristol Rovers, before they play Pompey.

Even if Bolton were to win every game and finish on 93 points, which I doubt they will, that means we would only need to win 4 out of 5 which is entirely possible in my opinion. We're in a very strong position. I reckon 3 wins for us will do it now as we have the better goal difference.
