I think it's fairly clear at this point that he just isn't the right person to lead us to where we need to be. Ipswich spent a bit longer in League One, but they built up with a good young manager and a good style of football and have adapted well to the league above. I have no data to back this up, but generally the pragmatic sides that get up don't seem to adapt as well.

Ipswich were down in this league for 4 seasons. The first 3 seasons were spent chopping and changing managers finishing outside the playoffs in every single one. Kieran McKenna took them up in his first full season in charge.

From what I hear from Ipswich fans is that everything changed when he was appointed. The football they were playing last season was amazing. I don't know too much about their playing squad but they've been able to continue their momentum with the step up to the championship. The fact they are joint top of that league is a phenomenal achievement.

The players deciding to start fully trying after a dressing room meltdown isn't necessarily a great look for Warne, why couldnt he motivate the players before? The football isn't amazing but with the strength of our squad and the weakness of the league I view anything other than fighting for the top 2 as underachievement. I still get angry to how poor some of the sides that beat us at home are, shocking we lost some of those games.

Who said there was a dressing room meltdown? I think Hourihane made it pretty clear that the players were trying their best. Just because we lost games to some poor teams doesn't mean the players weren't motivated.
