Totally agree. Embarrassing and unnecessary. Makes us every bit as classless and stupid as Birmingham, which I hoped I'd never have to say. Thankfully not many joined in, it was just the usual meatheads who can't wait to have a go at our own fans if the atmosphere dips.

It's just panto - couldn't give a **** when it was sung at us and happy for people to sing it at Reading - who I believe sang similar at us.   It's a football match not a love-in.

  2. 1Wildsmith. 6.5 For me no fault with the goal

35Nelson. 7 Solid and won loads in the air in tne latter stages

5Bradley. 5. At fault with their goal - for me the jury is still out.

    2Wilson. 6. Did what you'd expect

6Cashin.  7 Good on the ball, defensively sound

23Ward. 6.5.  Some good balls in and wasn't exposed defensively

    27Blackett-Taylor. ,6

    32Adams. 7

4Hourihane. 5.5. Thought he was poor and his score would be lower but fir the pen.

12Smith. 5.5.  Didn't really get into the game

    17Sibley. 6.5.

    7Barkhuizen. 6.5

    25Gayle. 7

    10Waghorn.  6.5.  Forced a good save - showed willing

    11Méndez-Laing. 6.5

3Forsyth.  6.   I'd probably start him over Bradley.

Warne 7.  Didn't over think it - thought the subs made reasonable sense.

  3. Thought it was a decent game to watch and good atmosphere.  On general play we deserved it even if we needed a few decisions to go our way.

Having watched the penalty decision again I still couldn't say for sure if it's a handball before he gets cleaned out - maybe there's another angle?  The red does look soft though.

That £10m loss is more than accounted for by the £13m to Quantuma.  If my understanding is right (and I'm not an expert at this stuff), turnover without player trading is about £18.9m.  Operating costs were about £19.2m.  So that's pretty much break even in actual money terms.

Ok I got the impression we'd made that loss ignoring the money to Quantuma - if that is factored in then looks fine.

  5. Be interesting to see the next set of accounts.   Given Keiran Maguire reckoned the average league 1 loss is ~£1m and our income is massive - think he said Portsmouth were at £13m ish ?? - and we are nowhere near the limits on player wages spending as a proportion of income - you'd think we shouldn't be losing money let alone £10m.

I'm guessing the academy  and exceptional circumstances account for that.

  6. Pre Barnsley someone posted the respective run ins and I thought this is looking great for automatic.

Ok 2 defeats in 3 isn't great but I still think we've got as much chance as Bolton or Barnsley of 2nd and if forced to choose I'd say with us getting some strikers fit and CBT coming into the team we are maybe very slight favourites of those 3.    Nyambe is potentially a huge loss though.

  7. I still say Sibley get's judged to a higher standard than others.  For me he's been ok this season - whatever division we end up in I'd offer him a contract - maybe not the wages he's on if he's a top earner (I don't know) but I can't see how he's done worse than most of Warne's signings and he's done significantly better than say Bradley who plays every game now.

  8. One thing they can do it tell the club to calm down with the stewards in the South Stand.  Went for a gypsies at HT and was told rather than return along the front of the stand I'm meant to climb and descend a set of stairs.   I know it's a small thing but I'm a paying customer I'm going to walk the quickest easiest way to my seat and I don't need about 100 stewards lined up in front of the stand to stop me running onto the pitch either.

  9. For me we normally play to the level of the opposition.   We didn't really play any worse than Barnsley or any better than Shrewsbury or Burton.   Most games that we win or lose the beaten manager could probably claim with some justification it could have been a draw.   We win more than we lose but maybe because we have more individuals that can produce moments of quality.

Today I don't think anyone could argue we weren't worth the 3 points - it wasn't particularly flowing football but on the balance of chances created/conceded we were a distance ahead.

Nah,mostly those who still haven't let him go,why would the rest of us be interested?

If we want to lament a manager who actually was both our manager and a bloody good one, let's talk about Stevie Mac,not someone who had a very poor record here both as an assistant and as temporary gaffer.

Rosenior's record wasn't very poor - he had us in the same place Warne finished only without the benefit of  McGoldrick 90% of the time.    He's showing at Hull that we should have kept him.

The thing with Sibley at left back is, he's good going forwards, but less good when he has to do some proper defending.  Last night, against a pretty poor, out of form team, at home, should have been an obvious game to use Sibley there.  They didn't really get at Cashin all that often, certainly not to the extent where you're thinking Sibley would have struggled.

Yes and with both Smith and Adams we had plenty of midfield cover for at least one full back to attack  - Nyambe being more defensive.

Honestly, there is so much tripe posted in here after a defeat it is laughable!

We've lost back to back league games for the 1st time.

We are 2nd in the table despite having to deal with a lack of attacking options.

Yes, we would all like to see more flair, more attacking football, but we just don't have the personnel for it atm, our financial restrictions have limited who we have been able to recruit and more importantly, IMO, who we were able to keep hold of.

I really wish we had played a 5 at the back last night with the lack of a left back being available, Sibley at LWB and Wilson at RWB would have given us more attacking options IMO, but he chose to play a 4 with Cashin at LB, a 4 that the vast majority are screaming for despite the personnel not being available.

No matter how poor the football is perceived to be by some, we ONLY lost to stupid, amateurish individual errors again, just like at the beginning of the season.

Is it Warnes fault that Wildsmith had another brainfart? We could see from the South stand that when the ball went forward he would never get there in time as he wasn't on his toes in anticipation, so he should have got close and stood his grd to make the player have to beat him.

Was it Warnes fault that the numerous mistakes from individuals cost us the 2nd goal, fgs, I came from us trying to pass it around at the back instead of launching it forwards (what most people complain about as Warne ball.... so it feels like all those moaners got what they deserved by trying to pass it around with league 1 players!).

I for 1 will be there on Saturday and give him my full support, despite not agreeing with some of his decisions,  after all, what do I know compared to the man that has us 2nd in the table?

And for all those that say any other manager would have us 1st, prove it, Where's the evidence? Who's to say we wouldn't have lost more games? Or is it just your opinion, a bit like mine, so worthless other than being an opinion of a fan that has watched thousands of games but never had access to the inner workings of a club out of administration and the coaching badges to allow me to be on the training ground.

Didn't it go wrong going to a back 5 last night though?

I know Warne's in game changes can be hard to keep track of but for me we at least looked fairly solid with a 4 when Nyambe was on.

As for putting the defeat down to playing too much football at the back - pretty much all we did was launch it.

For me he gets this season and he needs to get us up - otherwise he's gone and if not I can see Pride Park being toxic.   80% of match going fans I speak to think the football we play is not worth watching.

I think a few will be thinking like you, you know what B4 would be saying

If you don't renew you'll probably find within a season or two you hardly go.   Match tickets for decent games are expensive and you end up sitting away from whoever you normally go with - and you just find different things to do on a Saturday.

  14. Not against removing citizenship of people who came here and commit serious crimes - for example some of those convicted of grooming - but in Begum's case she was born here, she wasn't a Bangladeshi citizen just had the right to claim it and was under 18.   Any one of those factors for me means she should face any justice here in the uk.

Just on principle I don't think the justice system should make an example of individuals and undoubtedly that is happening here.

It’s part of a deliberate charm offensive. He was on the pitch before the Stevenage game clapping all the stands. Somebody has had a word

Maybe but in a relationship it doesn't hurt to make an effort.
