  1. I'm going to crack and reply to this because it's such BS. How is it forced on us? Answer is it's not. It's on TV for those that want to watch. I couldn't give a **** about cricket, rugby or NFL but I just don't watch it I don't claim it's being forced on me Yes womens football is subsidised - just as 99% of mens football is including DCFC. Show me a womens club that has been subsidised as much as Man City men, Chelsea men etc.
  2. If we'd kept Rosenior we'd be looking forward to a second season in the Championship
  3. So you are saying the best teams in the land play out from the back? Yes thank God we don't do that.
  4. The Eurovision version of SBW someone put on twitter this week is better than the original - at the very least it should replace ACDCs Thunderstruck after half time.
  5. We should revert to chocolate, amber and blue colours. Black and white is a bit boring and not even unique. It wouldn't be the worst thing if Derby, Forest and Leicester amalgamated into East Midlands All Stars if only the fan bases bought into it - 100k capacity stadium in Castle Donington full every week - get it done in time for the European Super League.
  6. We'll have to disagree. I don't see Bradley keeping Nyambe or Nelson out of that back 3. Yes Coady for Bradley sounds like a useful upgrade but Coady for Nelson or Nyambe not so much - and given his wages it wouldnt be where I'd be spending the budget.
  7. 30% increase from buying a ticket at either end this season and getting a new ticket for next. Now you might argue it's still a reasonable price but it's a huge increase in percentage terms.
  8. Don't disagree and he has been good in a back 5 but would Bradley be starting if Nyambe is fit ? If we bring a CB in we'd have to drop Nyambe (or Ward and Wilson) or Nelson and it blocks opportunity for Rooney unless he gets a loan
  9. He has a year option apparently so if he wants to stay...
  10. I seem to remember Warne saying Vickers had been unlucky at Rotherham being behind one of the best in the Championship - Johansson? - apparently he has a release clause
  11. Maybe Warne thinks he can do better and Wildsmith's contract is up - can't really have either if our current two as third choice and it's easier just to let Joe go.
  12. Im not moaning about it - midweek is fine for me - but I know people who miss midweek games because of work so if there are going to be more midweek games it will impact attendances - how can it not ? You only have to look at midweek attendances now and they presumably include non attending STHs of which there are a fair few judging from where i sit in the South. As for the Sky money being great for the game - yes it brings foreign talent into the game but I disagree with you about the rest.
  13. My guess is he went for guaranteed championship football - Bristol have spent a bit of money so might have half a chance of play offs. Bristol should finish above us this coming season and if they don't something has gone very right at Derby or very wrong at Bristol.
  14. Every bit as good as Cashin and Nelson when he played CB this season.
  15. I can see this impacting attendances - not so much this season but when fans have had a year and see how many midweek games they couldn't get to or how disruptive it was choosing between other regular hobbies on traditional non football days it's bound to make a few think it's not worth it - especially with the massive price rises that seem to be happening at quite a few clubs including ours.
  16. Their fans seem to think he's talented, quite fast, injury prone and doesn't work hard enough. On the whole they'd have liked to keep him though.
  17. It's becoming harder to compete if you aren't full time pro in the Championship (not sure how many are) and Newcastle were full time pro in National North this season.
  18. It goes WSL, Championship then National League North and South (we are North). Then National League regional (local one is Midlands) Then Regional Leagues so locally East Mids Prem East Mids North, South, Central Then County so Derbyshire has Div 1 and Div 2. Womens football is 99% in the pyramid
  19. Are we allowed to charge what we like in the Champ? Wasn't there some rule last season about only charging what we charge our own fans for an equivalent seat ?
  20. Spoke to a former Reading coach once and apparently the consensus there when our bid came in that Derby were mad. In his words a very poor footballer who could run, they used to kick it in behind out wide so the keeper couldn't collect and tell him to try and win a throw to get them up the pitch. Even allowing for a bit of poetic licence on his part it does illustrate how poor our recruitment could be then given we were more of a footballing side.
  21. I suspect the money David Clowes was willing to spend was within the limits the EFL were willing to let us spend. None of us actually know and if he goes in a Mel Morris style spending spree this Summer I guess I'm wrong.
  22. It's a fair assumption our playing budget in terms of wages was the highest in tne division. Every estimate you see has us top.
  23. Oi I've been using it on dcfc forums since he was a current manager ! I just think the club should look forwards. You'd have to be retired to really remember the Clough era properly. If old blokes in the pub want to reminisce fine but it just seems a negative way to brand the club.
  24. Ah I hadn't heard prices were going up further. That does take the piss a bit especially in parts of the ground that had higher % rises. Was thinking of going to buy a second ticket for family but this will probably stop that.
  25. Hold on, pricing structure ? Haven't we just had a big price rise - 20% in my case.
