Careful now. I haven't got blind faith in Q. I do think though they are doing a lot of a better job than many on here think they are.
The challenges for them are significant. Significant with a capital F.
Yes, they could improve their communication to fans a little, but probably only by not keep giving updates that lead fans to think substantial progress is imminent. They should be more careful with their phraseology, but whatever they say is never going to be enough for a febrile audience.
I had some dealings with Administrators and Receivers in my professional past, and would suggest that in this particular situation their priority in terms of ultimately keeping people happy is in the following order:
    1) Their Professional Body (and PI Insurer)
    2) Creditors
    3) Bidders
    4) DCFC Owner
    5) DCFC Employees
    6) EFL
    7) Fans
The trickyness of this administration is 7). It is unusual for them to have such partisan oversight. Yes they might deal with unions, but this is a great step up from keeping them happy.  The bottom line is they cannot say anything that a) breaks confidentiality, or b) affects values, until such time as they have someone who has contractually agreed to proceed on exclusivity terms (with a wedge of money downpaid hopefully). Even then they will be tightlipped until the completion monies have been banked, allowing distribution. Loose tongues lose money, and leave Q open to great risks of being sued by anyone from 2) to 4) if they do not follow due process to the letter.
Difficult gig this one. Be interesting to see if they want to give it another go when the next Championship club goes bump.

What do people actually expect them to say though? On the assumption that they're not just straight-up lying about what's going on, and they genuinely are querying aspects of the bids received, then they can't force bidders to answer them completely on any kind of timescale. They could set an arbitrary deadline, but you're just risking missing out on a better bid because someone doesn't respond quickly enough. Or they could just ignore the queries they have and pick a bid now, but you're again risking missing out on a better bid, or even worse, have the bid collapse at a later date because you didn't do your due diligence.
We've spent 6(?) months basically getting nowhere, but we're now seemingly at the stage where we have actual bids submitted and are about to start moving forwards.  It seems crazy to rush through the most important bit because people can't be patient for 5 minutes.

The amount of debt you are in is basically irrelevant, what matters is your ability to service it.  Stoke are in control of their debts (paying anything owed on time etc), we are not.

The greatest nightmare the EFL have is DCFC not being able to continue the season to the extent that i believe they would stump up the cash themselves to enable us to do so .
When the season comes to an end they will not give a flying duck what happens to Derby County as the threat of a court battle from the other 23 teams in the league who at this moment will be threatening them with will be over.
All the coaching staff deserve a collective award at seasons end  and it would be an honour to put some cash in for it because the boss was correct after the woolly back game no one wants Derby County in the league, and if by some amazing ,fantastic , miracle ,we survive in the championship and as a club the vitriol we have suffered will be louder ,longer and more venomous next season.

Don’t go wasting your time giving them the opportunity to look at facts. Jesus man. They want access to pitchforks, megaphones, and banners! What do we want? Quantuma staff hanging from a lamppost! When do we want it? Now!!!

Surely now the panic about preferred bidders etc can be shelved at least for the time being. We’ve basically got until the end of season to get this sorted now and hopefully be on our way to exiting administration. The key is now to have enough clarity at least by the end of the season to enable Wayne to plan next season’s promotion to the premier league….

It has not been said that we have the money to see the season out only that the Administrators forecast that they will have.
    From the EFL statement:
"including their forecast which showed the Club has sufficient cash to trade until the end of the season."

If we weren't the owners/chairmen of the other 71 clubs would erupt, they haven't actually been showing any support of the situation we are in and to the majority it will be a case of "they deserve it"

I don’t understand the idea that the bidders are waiting to see which league we’re in with respect to the money they have to pay. Hasn’t all the info about the money needed to buy the club been about the debts and potentially the stadium? So it’s always going to be the same figure regardless of league? Maybe the league we’re in makes us less viable as a purchase?
My understanding is that whoever buys the club is bidding to service the outstanding debts to HMRC, football creditors and then all other creditors; the stadium is a further complication as it either needs to be bought/rented from Morris to service the MSD loan OR Morris has to gift it to the club and sorts that particular debt himself. There’s not been a figure given for the “club” as an overall entity has there?
I’m not trying to stir it up so if anyone is able to clarify it succinctly without me having to trawl back through months of info that would be most welcome.

    What happens?

well, first, Gibbo continues his vindictive game of extortion so delays any prospect of an exit
    And next, Q can’t identify a PB.

There’s no reason to think the EFl are doing anything but their lawyers’ bidding right now. In fact there’s every reason to think that’s exactly what they are doing. And if we think we deserve an exemption from their insolvency policy, because we are verging on insolvency, then we are a laughing stock

The only thing they could do as a knee jerk reaction is liquidate...... doesn't help anyone.
Why does everyone think they are dragging their feet, the club is in a mess, the EFL have done little to nothing to help and arguably have actively hindered them with their stance on Boro.
They have a legal obligation to do the best they can for creditors,  just because it is causing us stress and the EFL to go spouting unhelpful statements doesn't make a blind bit of difference to the overall outcome.

I know we are not going to pay 100% but i think to prove a point that HMRC won't accept 25% but will accept somewhere around the 35-40% mark, they can then say the preferred creditor status works and they have got more money than they would have previously.

It’s just a title, perhaps not the most logical, meaning if you want to dispose of the asset you need to notify the local authority, who will then notify whoever applied for the community asset protection, effectively giving them first dibs on making a bid for the asset for a period of time. The owner isn’t under any obligation to accept the bid as I understand it.
It doesn’t mean the asset belongs to the community as the title may suggest.
