It is not a case of "fiddling with it", if MA makes an offer to the creditors which is lower than that accepted under CK's offer then the administrators are legally bound to go back to the creditors to see if they will accept it. Whoever,if it comes to it, will not get a new deal over the line in a matter of days unless it is the same offer to the creditors as CK's.

We're just sat watching now, helpless.
The power we think we harnessed as fans last season, when we marched, sang and were defiant, was just an illusion, a fleeting beautiful moment when we became the club, and the club was energised from it.
The harsh reality is hitting home, as we realise we're the collateral damage in a rich man's pissing contest.

It is all well and good saying MA is going to shaft the creditors. If,as folk are speculating,we get a 15 point deduction that means the creditors are not going to get anywhere near the required %  to escape a points deduction, the creditors are not forced to accept it,why should they when one bidder has offered 35% over 3 years, they are in a position to say one bidder offered this if the others don't then no deal.

They are turned down because their offer to the creditors is lower. That's it. They are legally obligated to get the best deal for creditors. They are doing this.

They aren't bloody miracle workers Roy. None of this is the fault of Quantuma, and they are doing their duty. If Mike Ashley wanted to buy Derby as much as you want him to, maybe he should have made a less rubbish offer?

Can we stop this Ashley saviour rhetoric please. If the bloke had made a serious offer he would be our owner but he clearly hasn’t. The admins are not ignoring him nor is Mel pulling the strings, he simply has not made an offer that will satisfy creditors. Until he is willing to do so, the admins should ignore him.

Why on earth do people think that Mike Ashley, a man who is only wanting to pay skin on bones, wants the stadium included, wants the admins to take a lower amount than they have racked up and has shown very little serious interest in acquiring the club will magically sort all of these problems out in the next 48 hours?
Some folk are living in cloud cuckoo land.

I want the club to survive but I cannot accept how some fans are just willing to accept someone who thinks a 15 point deduction is okay.

If he pulls out of buying Derby it'll be because he doesn't have the funds to do so and will be sweet FA to do with being dissed on social media or sone random guy slagging him off on local radio.
    Behave yourself now.

Has nobody stopped to think he might have desperately needed the toilet ?. I don't think they have lavatories scattered around a golf course and he could hardly dig an hole in a bunker and squat down.
I wouldn't stop to talk if I was in a rush to go.

CK was never going to turnaround and give an interview, he initially says no comment then that it will all come out soon. Not sure what fans expected, he is being chased off a golf course, quite embarrasing really, not like he walked in the opposite direction to get away, just kept walking

Must be embarrassing to be questioned on your money dealings in front of all your rich mates.

The money is in the UK system and is being checked for provenance. Ok.

    Why are people panicking?

It is another hurdle in the mass of hurdles needed clearing in this entire process.

Also- Ashley is not some savior that anyone is keeping from saving Derby. He had every opportunity over the last few months to table a bid and position himself as the lead option…and he never did.

Unless CK’s money turns out to be laundered or have sus provenance…it will clear and be deposited in the creditors accounts/team accounts/etc. And just like any deal- when the check clears, the deal is completed.

There is the possibility he may well have the funds, which is all the EFL will want to see at the start of the process, now it's getting to the signing of contracts they may,and i say may, might now want to know if those funds are legitimate.
You can see why the EFL are perhaps getting a little unsettled with the new season approaching and nothing sorted yet.
We will find out soon enough.

If the money is stuck due to laundering checks might explain why CK claimed to have 35 lawyers working after he claimed to have signed the buying contract

Ed must be extremely confident in what he's saying or he wouldn't have put this out to get shot at. Either that or he's being strung along by someone trying to put pressure on to get the deal done/collapse so they can step in.
It's just such a mess and from our previous owner to the admins to prospective owners to everyone else involved in the whole sorry saga, it is destroying my interest. Maybe the internet age is to blame but this isn't why I follow football, I follow it as an escape, somewhere I can go for a release and to share a passion with my mates.
Trying to get my head around amortisation methods, takeover structures, tax evasion, blah, blah, blah isn't an escape. Even the answer to all of this, proper regulation by an independent body with clear rules and accountability is so boring. And yet so important - every club in the country is a Mel Morris away from what we're going through.
I just want it done, for people to stop playing games with an institution that means so much to the city. Either it continues or it doesn't but this purgatory is a horrorshow.
