The case could be, that the remaining bidders have advised the administrators not to act until they know the outcome of which league Derby will be in next season. Which means, they could have both submitted 2 bids, one for a championship club and one for a League 1 club. Which means the winning bidder will not be announced this week, next week, shortly or even imminently.

I can't see the administrators agreeing to that situation in all honesty, they are dealing with a championship club, not putting everything on hold to see where we are at the end of the season.

It's not just the £50m to buy it unfortunately.

The Club requires significant immediate investment to get it up and running again, along with proof of investment and funding for several years to exit administration.

Its probably nearer an £80m investment as a starting point for any new owner.

I agree the £50M would probably get is out of administration without a -15 points deduction next season and a more relaxed business plan imposed by the EFL. If we get a  -15 points deduction the EFL are going to keep us on a very tight rein with the business plan.

But that's all we're gonna get... at best!

There ain't no fellow Rams fans willing and/or able to put enough dosh in A) to save us from extinction and B) to get around a further 15 point deduction.

The only person I'm aware of who is (allegedly) both a Rams Fan and loaded is a certain Mr M Morris.  Hmmm!

The rest... if indeed there are any "rest"... are businessmen/women hoping to pick us up on the cheap, purely in the hope of making money out of us.
Any future promotion to them would be joyous only for the £££, not for any romantic relationship with the club and/or us fans.

If anyone buys us in the hope of making money out of us are going to be waiting a long time before they see any profit in any way

Wayne has said he is worried about the situation. I’m sure if he was to invest some of his £170 mill fortune in DCFC , others would follow. Then perhaps fans could have say a 25% stake in the club.Put in whatever you can afford.

Wayne could buy the club for £50M if he wanted to i suppose but even he can probably see it's not worth it.

That would get pretty toxic in my view and I think the team would collapse if they knew that was coming. Very possible Rooney would walk as well. He's done more than his duty and that would just be a massive FU to his and the teams efforts.

But people with money don't give a toss about such things I suppose.

Too true, they are not bothered about the integrity of the club,to them it's just a business that they hope to pick up on the cheap and nothing to do with football.

@Curtains to give you some clarity around Atherstone it isn’t posh. My wife is from nearby Sheepy so know it reasonably. To those passing through Atherstone its deceptive, it can even give the impression it’s a nice little market town. It’s anything but with one of the roughest estates in the region within its boundary. Posh is Market Bosworth.

Back on topic - we’re not getting liquidated, the Binnies pulling out doesn’t concern me, I can only assume there are other bids on the table. Whether they are high enough to avoid -15 deduction next season we don’t know, but this is a major risk we’ve known about for some time and has always been a likely scenario.

Which is why we moved a couple of years ago. It was getting a bit rough, well more than it was,now live in a decent village.

I said help to save the club not buy it .

And how can they help save the club,i would imagine by monetary assistance, councils can't afford to maintain basic requirements nowadays without getting involved with a football club draining it of much needed resources.

The City Council need to step in and save the club .

Whats happened to them after all their noise and good intentions and what’s happened to the MPs !

The days of councils owning let alone buying a football ground these days is a thing of the past.

I’m not 100% sure that you’re right on the player registrations bit. I can’t find anything in the rules to back it up at the moment (so I could be mis-remembering), but I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that if a club ceases to be a member of the league (which would happen in the case of liquidation), it loses the right to hold player registrations too. So any players we own revert to being “owned” by the EFL and any sales proceeds go into the EFL Pool Account to help pay any football creditors that we fail to pay.

And if that is the case, it makes the proceeds of a liquidation even smaller.

    You are correct.

Still waiting for you to show me how liquidation proceeds can be greater than £28m... ?

I am not saying liquidation proceeds could be greater than £28M.

The £28M may not be enough to meet the administrators requirements to sell the club. The administrators have  legal professional rules to adhere to otherwise they would be in open to investigation by their governing body.

Lawrence is a footballer controlled like all of them by an agent, you couldn’t offer him a contract on what he’s currently earning as you can’t afford it, no way will his agent allow him to take a pay cut of the extremes he would have to to fit into what will be your new wage structure.

Bielik has probably got a relegation release clause in his contract if we go down.

I really don't know what some of these people think would be liquidated, perhaps they dont actually understand what it means. There's basically nothing to liquidate come the end of the season - only the player registrations of Bielik, Bird, Knight & Sibley (liquidation value £10-15m max).

No way would administrators turn down £28-30m offers without there being better offers already on the table.

A lot of bedwetting going on.

I certainly know what liquidation means and entails. If there is basically nothing to liquidate at the end of the season that equally means there is basically nothing to buy. Unfortunately we don't have a given right to survive and i am not the one bed wetting. The ones seem bed wetting are the ones hoping the creditors will accept what they are offered.

  13. Just now, Carnero said:

Go on then, tell me what exactly you think will be liquidated and to a total value of greater than £30m.

Might not get anything but that doesn't mean they have to accept what is offered, they can hold out to see if they can get more,if they can;t then a new buyer is obviously not bothered about the creditors and doesn't meet the administrators financial requirements . It is the people who keep saying something is better than nothing who are doing the bed wetting.

And people who keep saying something is better than nothing could well be surprised.
