You know that's the one point that I disagree with you one. We only survived relegation through the grace of God this season. Our playing squad is threadbare and inadequate. We have the threat of a transfer embargo and points deduction hanging over our heads. We are a million miles in debt as a club. We don't own the ground we play in.
Any sensible businessman would be totally put off by that. I wouldn't go anywhere near us. Morris is trying to sell the club at the worst possible time I can only reiterate. I wouldn't go near us with a shitty stick. You can blame that all on Morris but it still doesn't detract from reality. We are a crap proposition to acquire and as other posters have already stated we are in dire straits of becoming another Wigan. I don't need Morris to come and tell me all is rosy in the garden when it would be a tissue of lies. And I don't need to tell him we have mucho problems as I know that. 

I agree I just don't know what you would want him to say - it seems patently obvious to the most casual of observers that we are in the kaka but do you want him to come out and say that? Especially knowing that this might then put off other would be suitors or encourage another bout of tyre kickers.

Well no because he had been sacked and the reason we sacked him was so because we didn't have to pay his wages.
Not to mention the other costs no doubt involved and embarrassment caused. If you are going to do it, it needed to be watertight. Any employer would tell you that.

Hey I'm totally with you regards the peripheral debts being added due to mismanagement for avoidance of doubt, I just think that's tangential to the matter in hand but makes the sale of the club even more harder especially if the new owner is going to be picking up that tab.
I genuinely don't know what the answer is, as a going concern we are are an appalling proposition at the moment. Not sure what getting Morris to come out and make a statement would solve as it's blindingly obvious what dire straits we are without this so not sure what you would even expect him to say? Like yer everything is going to be fine? Think most people on here know or situation is parlous so would be just hollow words.

Politics - I am very doubtful that Mel would sell to someone he dislikes. I get the impression he would never do this.

I gave up arguing with you a few days ago simply because you just wouldn't say what actions you want us fans to undertake. However, you still persist with your rallying calls that we fans come together and demand answers.
So, as a starting point, please can you list the questions that you want answered.

@therams69The problem is though Nick, company directors are not legally allowed to publicly discuss insolvency events or flotations. Talking about takeovers or equity injections in the early stages is very unprofessional and liable to be costly if there's an NDA.
It's almost certain that Derby County's immediate future involves one or more of these things. Even Mel saying that he'll continue to fund the club indefinitely could be prejudicial or a really poor negotiating tactic.
I suspect that you are literally asking the impossible.

Do you think the local media has a wider reach than local media? Are Derby fans only confined to the local area?
I have no idea why they are not speaking to the local media, if anything I think they get an easier ride from the local media.
You have hinted that these meetings include information being divulged which should not be relayed to the fanbase. Its pointless cherry picking questions to answer if extremely important information is being withheld.

Perhaps that is because they have also seen and heard MMs interviews in the national media so, like alot of us, dont actually believe they are being kept in the dark.
Yes, was not accusing you of doing that, I just think its completely wrong for the club to reveal information to a select few, that they would not reveal to the whole fanbase. I'd hope that any groups that are supposedly representing the fans would point this out too.

So the result is an extra ten people have the answers on the vital stuff that concerns most people but can’t really reveal to the fanbase , pretty much like mel and Stephen now ??‍♂️, we then have the scenario of people saying you would / should be worried if you knew the full picture but I/ we can’t really tell you,

Yep I make you right , the biggest problem now is the fear instilled in vast numbers of people in this country and the fact that the fear tap is being kept on despite the gains in vaccines, treatment ,data and understanding of the virus , the other day a convertible car drove past me with the roof down and a driver wearing a mask ffs??‍♂️,
the rise in ocd over the last 10 years is an epidemic and so so damaging for sufferers with inhibited  lives full of anxiety and fear , fear of germs , fear of touching anything , fear of each other , constant hand washing and cleansing not at sensible levels but obsessive need to stay safe ,,,now this , you can see it in children all around you if you care to look and I really fear for the future ,their lives and the lives of their children ,
those with overhyped fear in them now regards this virus will dismiss the above as covid denial as usual but ffs where is the balance , where is the long term view ,

Well if these local journalists 'know what is going on' why dont they say and then I am sure there will be more pressure from the fanbase for the club to come clean.
From the little I do see of the local media, they seem to just regurgitate articles from national media and internet forums, so not sure I agree that they know any more than us.
If parts of meetings are private and confidential they should not be discussed at all, it leads to situations like you have created here, whereby you are expecting people to act just on your word.
It was one of the things that annoyed me about Breakfast Club, MM said things and then asked for them not to be repeated. Its no way to act.

So, let get this straight - you fear that everyone will end up in fear?

Those around 10 or so people in the meeting ,,,, do they get given full and frank details of the financial position the club is in ? 
do they then pass it on from there to the whole fanbase ? Or do they hold back this information for the good of the club?

So put the clubs financial problems out in the public domain ? 

Seems unfair. It’s public knowledge that he’s failed with two sales, he still wants to sell and that he will continue to fund the club until he does. That about sums it up surely. What else do you think should be disclosed ? 

So you demand that mel Morris and Stephen Pearson come out in public and state that the club is in chronic position and apologise to the fans whilst giving the facts and figures to the public domain?
