Yeah so my uni background is in sports journalism but I didn't actually have any of the connections when I began writing the book. So it took a good couple of years to build up all the relevant contacts and find the best people to contribute to the book. A lot of being ignored by media teams and then desperately begging some of those who contributed to help out with a few people. I go into a bit more detail on it in this pod with the @Steve Bloomer's Washing chaps:

Think this issue was that CKR like Bielik wasn't properly match fit at the start of the season and now both are up to speed. Hopefully followed shortly by Jordon Ibe.

Massive fan of Kazim & great to see him starting to get the goals his hard work deserves.
We look a totally different side with a proper focal point & he absolutely provides that. Looking at him, you know he's going to be strong & decent in the air but its his technical ability that most impresses me. The ease with which he controls the ball in the final third is such a valuable skill & largely responsible for how high we've been able to play up the pitch.
Really like the bloke as well. Big, uncompromising guy - always happy to mix it & employ the dark arts. Always encouraging his teammates & leading the pre-match huddle. And his hard work....still running with 10 mins to go tonight despite playing so much football recently
He will prove to be a excellent value signing for us - I bet Cocu regrets not gambling on him. He did look good during his brief cameos under Cocu but he could have started to make an impact a few weeks before he actually did.

As part of a personal mission to make a difference both to myself and others next year, and hopefully to also provide a boost to our local healthcare services, I am committing myself to running 10k each time Derby County fail to win a game (i.e. draw or lose) during 2021. If current form is anything to go by, I'll be stick thin by March!
I have started a GoFundMe page to hopefully do a bit of good while also having a bit of fun following our beloved Rams next year. Advent 2020 Day 6, a special shirt today, Remembering our promotion-winning captain, Rob Hindmarch, who sadly lost his battle with Motor neurone disease 18 years ago, aged just 41.

Advent 2020 day 5, Roy McFarlands no5 Testimonial shirt, probably the greatest servant to DCFC, player, captain, manager, asst manager, director, top man ! Hark the herald angels sing ??

This shirt was given to Trevor East by his good friend Bruce Rioch but it was also worn that season in one of the infamous moments of BBG folklore when Gerry Daly smashed in the penalty v Man City when the spot had to be repainted due to it disappearing in the mud !
it was also worn on numerous occasions by Trevor in appearances on Tiswas, it is clearly the same shirt as a bit of the Umbro badge is missing ! Famous shirt ! 

Alan Durban’s official club blazer worn on all of those special European trips and of course the presentation of the Division one Championship Trophy at The Baseball Ground.

One of the many who were not over enammered by his joining, however,his work rate commitment and effort was clearly evident let's hope it's infectious amongst the squad.Collins a Ram?

I signed in to the fan club when he signed the contract. Yeah, it's been lonely place so far.

Our best player today and by a long stretch. Folk have asked why he's not played much thus far but I suspect he's only just getting to a place where he's fit enough to start. Got loads of stick from some quarters but I think he's shown something each time he's been on the pitch. Clearly Cocu knew.

I thought he was very good today, Id like to see him and Bobby Duncan up top together when he's fit, surely cant be long now. 

He was excellent and a breath of fresh air today.

Thought he was great today and we lost all impetus when he came off.
I’ve been hopefully that he’d be a shrewd signing since he was announced. The cameo against Forest showed us what he is capable of and I think he is the piece of the jigsaw we’ve needed all season.
Just got to get the other jigsaw pieces in the right places around him!

He's taken some really unwarranted stick on here because a) he's not a glamour signing & b) he's not Chris Martin
Have also called for his inclusion for a while now. Yes, he's not that subtle but he has all the ingredients to be an excellent focal point in this team. Technically I think he's great, as you'd expect from someone who has played in many different countries but I also really like his attitude. Tough lad, very vocal with encouragement & if he's not happy with something - exactly what we need.
