Suspect CK has secured a line of credit in the UK and provided a guarantee against it. CK gets the club Monday / Tuesday, Fat Mike kicked into touch yet again. To my way of thinking, tyre-kickers generally don't settle £1.6 Million bills to maintain the ruse or simply for a 'bit of a larf', so if that particular rumour is true, as it appears most likely it is, then those accusing CK of lying about his transfer may well need some bacon to go with the copious amounts of egg on their face next week. If it's not true, then presumably Fat Mike will simply fire over £30 million early next and we'll all kneel at his altar in gratitude.

    a) Why and how would CK BORROW £22m when a rumour is that he's already send it twice? Sent it twice?? I can't believe I'm even writing that! Of course he hasn't,

    b) As far as I can see here and elsewhere, nobody has actually come out and said CK paid the bills. People have hinted at it, but nobody's confirmed it, neither did he pay the £5m deposit, obviously and...

    c) If it is actually true, then he obviously had the ability to send £m's in cash a few weeks ago, passing the providence checks, but not, it seems, now. Bit weird, no?

Yep. Looks like both is true. Following liquidation, players become free agents, but the new club has to buy the player registration from the EFL. EFL can charge whatever is “reasonable”. EFL can then either keep the money, or hand some of it to football creditors under the football compensation scheme.

it’s all a moot point, but just adds clarity and confirmation that it’s in nobody’s interest to pursue liquidation. Well, with the big exception of the EFL who would pocket all the money from players registration sales. Interesting new perspective…

How is it modern day slavery compared to a club owning player registrations?

It's rule 66.1 of the EFL regulations 2021-22

So it is in fact correct then -  in respect of dcfc non football creditors, that they would have zero value. So creditors can either take the deal that’s offered, or take nothing.

They’re obviously much happier to wait for a buyer then! Good! “Just” the EFL to contend with.

On liquidation, the players registrations are transferred to the EFL, who then sell them on to ensure that all footballing debts are repaid.

So, it is not quite true that they have zero value.

Really??  I can’t think of any way that could possibly happen, for many reasons.

Players become free agents - the last time I checked. Unless the EFL are engaged in modern day slavery…

Where did you get this information from?

Kirchners money to clear in 3 2 1 ohh wait

I'm going to go out on a limb here, but my gut is telling me he still hasn't got the cash, but he's lined up a nice little escape route for when someone else buys it - "oh well, I was trying real hard, but well, Q went and sold it to someone else because they couldn't wait.." that way he would appear to be the good guy.

Otherwise, I'm not sure why his cash would be doing a quick tour of Europe??

So if anyone here is on holiday and sees £22m in cash taking a quick selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower - grab and stick it on a f****** plane to EMA!!

We don’t need to compete in 2 weeks, the start date for the league season is July 30th I believe, which is 5/6 weeks. It’s going to be a problem if we haven’t got a squad together and played some pre season games before then, but not catastrophic if the club survives.
Say a takeover can happen or at the very least be in process within the next 2 weeks to satisfy the EFL, the new owner is able to convince Rooney and some of the current squad to stay giving us a core to build around and some continuity within the group, further supplement that with frees and loans of which there will still be plenty of options around, we might, MIGHT be able to start the season and do ok. Nothing is guaranteed in terms of success or failure yet. Time is most definitely of the essence, contracts expire at the end of this month, meaning there is a full months payroll due, along with all the other complications of planning for a new season. I’m hoping the bit in one of Q’s statements this week about the complex issues being resolved prior to them exchanging contracts with CK means the transaction is at a point where it can be relatively smooth compared to how it was 12 weeks ago

Sorry @Phuket Ramjust realised I misread “complete” as “compete”….blinkin Covid brain ??‍♂️ I still stand by my optimistic summary of the situation and agree with you that we need the new owners to COMPLETE asap ?

I'm not sure if you're fully grasping the seriousness of the situation...

If we don't complete in the next 2 weeks the following will happen:

    1. The players and staff won't get paid (payroll due in 2 weeks)

    2. We still can't sign or re-sign players

    3. We won't have a squad to report back for preseason, and Rooney WILL quit

    3. EFL will have no choice but to withdraw the golden ticket due to our inability to convince them we have the funding and the players to complete (or even begin!) the season.

Really sorry mate, we are all Rams fans, but you're (IMHO) living in cuckoo land if you really believe what you wrote. It really is 2 weeks tops or we are finished - in every way imaginable.

When I were a lad delivering Groceries, you got free Black and White (binary coloured) salt and pepper pots with OMO. Housewives (persons) didn't want them so I ended up with about 30 or so --used them as targets for my air pistol.

Good to relax after a hard day down t’pit.
you were lucky, we had to lick t’road clean.

To be fair, the Preston fans did warn us. They said he'd been sussed and there was no money.

I didn't want to blieve it at the time. But appears he was just a front for borrowed money, and it's all fallen through.

    He has no money.

No money, and a bullshltter. Again! (allegedly) This must be some sort of record... Quantuma...oh dear.... I suspect they might be having a name change when this is all over. You couldn't make it up.

The money is in the UK system and is being checked for provenance. Ok.

    Why are people panicking?

It is another hurdle in the mass of hurdles needed clearing in this entire process.

Also- Ashley is not some savior that anyone is keeping from saving Derby. He had every opportunity over the last few months to table a bid and position himself as the lead option…and he never did.

Unless CK’s money turns out to be laundered or have sus provenance…it will clear and be deposited in the creditors accounts/team accounts/etc. And just like any deal- when the check clears, the deal is completed.

Except, like most people with no access to any genuine information,, you're just guessing.

Like it or not, if Ashley ends up as our new owner - he most definitely WILL be our saviour. There can be absolutely no question of that, the alternative being liquidation.

  10. If he had the cash, he would be the owner already. Therefore, he hasn’t got the cash in my opinion, and whoever was backing him, now isn’t. So rather than wait for the admins to exclude him to save face, he should grow a pair, be honest, pull out and apologise. Let someone else do it now, it’s just embarrassing.

If they hadn't been paid we would have heard about it by now from numerous sources.

Maybe could have been paid from the cash from the Liverpool sell-on clause buy out? We don't really know what was in the bank still.

ANyway, the wage bill must be pretty small these days as we don't have any staff... or players....or stadium....or owner.... or.... a pitch.... actually it's surprising we still have fans when you think about it! Maybe KC is just waiting for us to forget we ever had a football team...?

These are not the droids you're looking for... ?

You think pessimism is an inherent quality?

Maybe I think that the grand designer exists within the natural universe, and is not separate, a deity.

(Or maybe I'm trying to bump the thread up to 2000 pages ? sshhhh...)

    The answer is from within.
