Buchanan looked nowhere near good enough in the early parts of the 2019/20 season. With a bit of time and patience - plus a lot of hard work on his part - he seems to have found pace and strength that wasn't there before.

It’s a very strict holiday, this one - much stricter than the “off” season, which only really applies to the drivers in the months of December and January - is the only time F1 truly sleeps. An entire team can be fined if a single employee responds to an email! 
I think it’s the only way F1 can guarantee teams can give their employees enough annual leave and still comply with the law. Otherwise it would be a race to bend employment law to the max, as it is with every rule in F1.

I have this feeling that we didn't start Sibley last season for the same reason Southgate was reluctant to start Grealish for much of the Euros. Both managers felt that their attacking threat did not override their defensive shortcomings - or that other players were simply better at that kind of thing. 
This conservatism is the best and worst thing about our footballing culture. It is the reason England men's team reached its first final in over half a century, and it is why we lost it.
Sibley would be my first name on the team sheet. Screw clean sheets. Screw tracking back. Let our dinosaurs at the back sort out his mess and just outscore the opposition.
