With these "Scumbuckets" delaying the process it could be a blessing in disguise, CK could have been the winner?, If what i'm reading on here concerning 1 person has increased his bid by a 7 figure sum then "praise the Lord", Whether Ashley, Moxey or a n other the home straight is in sight, I'm hoping on Ashley, One...he knows his stuff, Aint a fool and woe betide those "Scumbuckets"

5 years of horror followed by 5 years that took us from the 3rd division to 5th place in the top division - I'll take that

It is hard to see how they can deemed Football creditors. There is no contract or invoice, they have not sold or loaned us a player, never been employed and owed wages, as such there is no outstanding debt to either Club. It is a speculative claim for unproven "damages". A strong owner, backed by substantial funds and a good at business will not be put off by this I feel sure. This seems to be backed up by the fact that more than one party were as of yesterday, still increasing their bids to buy the Club.
Beating Cov in the Cup and drawing Boro would be good.

I wouldn’t be surprised mate. He’s certainly got the financial means to get us out of this mess, and that is all the matters right now. Would also put the s**** up the two chairmen trying it on.

Lots of differing opinions on here, most of them fairly well balanced, which makes for a great read. One thing we can all agree on is that this process is tiresome, frustrating and (as @angieramsaid) pretty much blind to the fans.
I always try to come back to the facts, which admittedly are few. Quantuma publicly stated there were 3 bidders in the running. Now there are 2. In my mind, CK’s withdrawal is only a massive problem if he was “first in the queue” to be preferred bidder.
But if he was first in the queue, why would he pull out now? If he was first in the queue, why did he (allegedly) increase his bid twice? If he was first in the queue, why haven’t Quantuma (allegedly) spoken to him in a long time?
On balance, those questions make me believe that CK was unlikely to be named the preferred bidder- in which case we have lost very little. I say “very little” in the context of avoiding liquidation, which to me is the main (only?) goal at this stage. Long term we all obviously want a committed, savvy and rich (!) owner who brings the club success- and CK MIGHT have been that owner. But it is impossible to say right now who will be the best owner for DCFC in 3 years’ time.
Final note on my use of the word “allegedly”. Those who are desperate to know something are likely to believe anything. For those reading this thread and feeling despondent, remind yourself of the difference between opinion and fact, and keep the faith. COYR.

He’s not pulling out he’s been led to believe he won’t win. So the admins have a better offer which is positive news

Toys and pram going their separate ways, because he's not been told he is the preferred bidder?

personally I would like potential new owners to be saying nothing - then again I want to know what’s going on - it changes nothing as we will have to wait and see the ultimate outcome.

Doesn't necessarily do the Club much good though, just alerting others to the possibility of a January fire sale.

Boro would never have beaten Leeds or Villa, even if they had finished ahead of us. We lost to QPR in a one off match, with very fine margins. Plus QPR 's act was deliberate flouting the rules.  As far as we knew we were within the rules. In fact, I still think we were.

Okay thanks for the reply, I’m not here to be confrontational, been reading this site for a fair few years (along with most championship sites ) and quite recently have seen QPR mentioned a few times. Not that it helps any I don’t think any team should be suing another.
I still have nightmares about QPR’s administration and relegation to the third tier in 2001, we had 5 registered players at the start of the following season, had a total rebuild and after 3 seasons got back into the championship.
I can still remember our “rich owners” stitching Derby up with exorbitant ticket prices as you’d just been relegated and deemed to be a category A game.
many of us weren’t happy when Tony Fernandes started buying players we couldn’t afford as if they were panini stickers and I think the other clubs are right to be ducked off with the way our club went.
it’s taken a few years but we are now doing things correctly and are just starting to reap the rewards. However I expect if we don’t go up this year then our young starts will be sold and we’ll have to start the cycle again.
Hope you get a new owner (pay HMRC off) and become competitive again.
    merry Christmas to you all.
