GB SPORTS got a reaction from uttoxram75 in A new daily game. Name the year & opponents of a famous Rams match
1993 v Cremonese in the Anglo Italian Cup Final at Wembley. Ouch, can't remember much about the day itself! Definitely went in the Galleon Inn before though, i think there were 36000 + for Derby there.

I almost talked my way out of a speeding ticket today by telling a female cop she was very attractive and intelligent, everything a man could ever want in a woman but things went sour when I said "and that's not just the booze talking either".

Even Warne accepts that fans have a right to voice their displeasure at the performances. Everyone wants to see us win. The holier than thou attitude is far more annoying than the booing.

Everton 1989 and the chipped goal from Goddard!!! In the C stand that day What a player Goddard was if he had a bit more pace he would have been a world beater.

I think this is fair. Fans' views of Warne are based on what they see/hear once or twice a week. DC and SP's view and experiences of Warne and where the club is regards the rebuild are daily.
I said in the mists of time when the first of a thousand threads/polls came out that I'd review at Christmas but most likely give it til the end of the season. At the moment it's pretty bad, I'm not enjoying it and it doesn't look great for him, but I've not changed my view; I'd still give him the full season to see what he can do. We're talking about a man's job and his family's livelihood here, you have to be fair.
If Clowes, who has a far more in-depth knowledge of what's happening behind the scenes than anyone here and can therefore take a far more holistic view, decides to make a change then no problem, I wouldn't be mourning his departure. But that's for the owner to decide, not us.

The Stoke team of 1972 was the best in their history tbf. They were FA Cup Semi-Finalists in 1971 and 1972, won the League Cup in 72 and finished 4th that year.
I was at school surrounded by Stokies back then and remember it well, They won the League Cup in March, the first trophy they'd ever won and were full of it. By May Derby had won the League and that shut the chipeaters up!!!!
50 odd years later i still take the pish out of a few clayheads of my age about it. I am that sad.

Arsenal 1972 when we gave Bob Wilson a bad back!!
The memorable goal is Hinton's into the Normanton End where he rifled a right foot thunderbolt past hapless Bob.
This spell is the best i have seen Derby ever play from whacking Benfica at Home to drawing with Newcastle, amazingly it came to an end when we got beat at the Victoria Ground stoke. 4-0 !!!
Stoke had the indian sign on us that season as they also thrashed us at the BBG.

i thought he took a knock? and we we trying to save him for the relegation battle. We were due to play Brighton 3 days later and a win would have put us in touching distance of Fulham, Oldham and Palace who we were trying to catch.
In the end we lost 3-0 and were a good few points off safety.
At work at present but i will have look when i get home and see if there is anything in the records.

Walking out the ground that night was the saddest moment of my football life, can still "feel" it when i think about it today.
All i can remember through the sadness was hearing the Big Country song "Chance" on the way out of the ground.
Just summed up what we were all feeling on masse.

GB SPORTS reacted to Nicola Elliot in Peter Phelan
Hi all, Peter's granddaughter and Scott's cousin here. It looks like @Brailsford Ram has discontinued his account, but I wanted to say thank you so much for the book, what a lovely gesture, which was very much appreciated in our time of grief. ❤️
Interesting to read about the different spin on him being fined and suspended for a week - this fits so much more with his shy and socially anxious nature, he would have jumped at the chance to go home for the week, and his mam & dad would have paid the £10 without a grumble! He spoke very fondly of Clough. He was a home bird and just didn't enjoy being away from his family, which is such a shame as his school friends tell how they would dread Peter and his brother coming on as opposition at local friendlies as they were very speedy and skilled players!! He could have done so well in a football career, but then again, Scott and I wouldn't be here if he did!!
Thanks again all who have contributed to this thread, much appreciated 👍

Personalised plates don't always have to be expensive.
I've had one for almost 20 years. Technically, it cost me naff all, although there was the small matter of the tenner to the deed poll office, to be fair.
Yours sincerely,
Mr BT04 XLW

Watney Cup Final 8/8/1970 The only competition i have been to every game that Derby Played, including the 1st one at Fulham.
I believe the competition was the first one to decide ties on Penalties.
Red Hot day, we only qualified because we weren't allowed to be in Europe as we had been naughty boys and upset the EFL. (nothing changes eh)
