Not 100% sure it’s his mouth he’s talking out of……making a choice between a buyer and liquidation shouldn’t need more than a fraction of a second to decide….and (for the hard of thinking) liquidation is the wrong answer…

What is the opposition to Mike Ashley? I don’t get it. He wouldn’t take on Derby if he couldn’t make a profit it out it. To make a profit, you need PL football or have amazing recruitment (buy cheap, sell high). Well I’d welcome either at Pride Park.
People are worried Rooney would walk and so would the players. News flash, Rooney and the current players (the good ones anyway) aren’t going to be here in 5 years regardless who the owner is. They will go on to bigger and better, it’s only a question of time.
Derby is bigger than Rooney and the current staff. Derby, the club and all its history, is far more important.
So if that means Mike Ashley, a further points deduction, relegation to League Two before the reset, so be it.

Did Appleby put a bid in last night?, did Morgan?, or Gadsby?, or anyone else? No? or do we just not know? Pretty good chance that they have to follow process - Q invite interest and interested parties respond - MA has made that public, the others have not…..

From a fans point of view you’re spot on - from a hard-nosed businessman looking at a 5-10 year investment, I’m not so sure….

Not strictly true - ideally they want a deal that matches as that makes their job simple and allows them to conclude the deal quickly (which would reduce the complaints about the way they’ve handled things) - ultimately if CK can’t do the deal he’s agreed then Q have to negotiate with the interested parties and decide what is best for the creditors even if it’s significantly less than CK was offering and doesn’t meet the EFL minimum payment to avoid a points deduction.
I’ve said on here before that I think CK was paying over the odds given the level of value that is currently left in the club, so the remaining parties may well be reluctant to meet the currently agreed price…..

I’ll stick my head above the parapet and say that I enjoyed Le Mans ‘66 - works as both a motor racing film and as entertainment (my wife has zero interest in motorsport but enjoyed the film)….

We had a damn good case against the 12 points (proven by subsequent EFL rules changes that allowed clubs to lose more money because of COVID) - Q simply abandoned the appeal to speed up the process. They have made a series of poor decisions throughout this whole fiasco - doubt they’ll get much future work in football…..

Just read a report on Twatter that states Ashley wants the club but is refusing to pay any of Q's fees since the point in December when he had a previous deal agreed with them - apparently he slammed their methods in a meeting and the deal broke down.....

The longer it takes for ‘the money’ to clear, the more suspicious people will be. Does the money actually exist? if so, is there something slightly iffy about it?
Pure supposition, but someone who is clearly willing to take financial risks (as he’s admitted by making a killing on crypto) may also take risks to get the best return on his capital - it’s possible the money has been in some offshore tax haven rather than sitting in CK’s US bank account - that will raise all sorts of flags with the authorities and should make us worry about future funding as well - it may all clear and CK may be the saviour we’re all hoping for, but he certainly has some serious questions to answer if we ever get to the end of this nightmare.
