Agree with this..I mean Lawrence's feet when he set up the chance that was squandered by CKR  any top player in the prem doing that would be talked about for weeks..

I thought it looked a sitter in real time, but when I watched the replay I noticed the defender touched the ball just before  it got to CKR. IMO it was good defending. CKR didn't have time to adjust. Totally agree with the work Lawrence did.

It’s been an interesting week.  Our club has had a few sliding doors moments in the past (Sir Brian leaving, Charlie George’s shoulder, Zamora, etc) but looking back how important were the injuries to John Eustace and Chris Martin in 2014/15?  Without those we would arguably have achieved automatic promotion, Mel would have bought a PL team, no FFP issues even if we’d have come down.

Even Thorne’s injury against Ipswich on the last day of the following season.  Again, without that the big spending may have paid off.

Instead we’re staring at League 1 - which could turn out to be a good thing in the long run although it might not feel like it now.

Life’s all about fine margins.  In years to come we’ll have sliding doors moments that go in our favour.

One of the clearest red card challenges I've ever seen. Not even given a penalty.

Be glad to see the back of him. No ducking effort tonight. Less talent.

Rooney's decision could have proved to be an inspired one (and, in truth, I suppose it could still be). I really hoped it would work and lead to more consistent performances from Tom. So far though, I don't think it's been a success. Some are natural leaders on the pitch and thrive on the extra pressure of being captain. I don't think Tom's one of those people.
