StaffsRam got a reaction from NottsRam77 in Jagielka
Ironic that in our darkest hour we found the most stable centre half pairing we’ve had in over a decade, if not longer.

They’ll change the rules as soon as they’ve finished making an example of us.

Knight would be a loss to be sure, but if it ends up funding the rest of the season then it’s better than losing another 4/5 players. If we can prove funding then we’re free to sign players/extend contracts etc so I’d imagine we’d bring in a replacement.

We won’t be expelled from the league on Feb 1st whether we’ve proven funding or not. With political pressure beginning to be brought to bear, and a groundswell of wider public concern at the situation then I don’t think that even the EFL would be stupid enough to do that.

Rooney leaving now would be just the latest kick in the nuts.

Of course not, which is why a fire sale to raise funds to prove funds is not a viable approach. Every player sold detracts from the value of the club, which in turn screws over the genuine creditors.

They’d be mad coming after Rooney at this stage of his managerial development, but then I thought the same thing about Lampard and Chelsea…

Only reason there’d be no players left tho is if they’re sold to bring in funds to be able to prove we have funds to see out the season. Hence, we would not be expelled. Alternatively, if we don’t sell players, which I think we can justifiably argue would be to the detriment of creditors, then I still don’t think we’ll be expelled from the league. Either way, I don’t see it happening. It would be the end for the EFL if that happened. Certainly the end of them being solely responsible for the running and oversight of the leagues. They’re playing with fire.

All that aside, if they took away our “golden ticket” they’d be opening such an unimaginable can of worms.
Clubs would demand to know what happens to the points won/lost against us, how many relegation places would there be, etc, etc, etc.
Legal threats would start flying as there would be no solution that suits every team.
Would the EFL want this when they are about to enter a period with clubs in serious FFP and debt situations?
And this is why I think we should be applying this pressure to the EFL right now by talking up in the media, the potential scenario of not completing our fixtures.
Time to focus minds

Agree, which is what makes the claim as transparently manipulative and spiteful as it is.
I pray that one day Boro need a favour from us.

In that case he should sue Mel.

Ok, so just when they lost points and it had playoff implications then.
Of course they could also take their chances with the FA as well. X team knocked us out of the FA Cup and denied us a potential home tie against Man City/Utd/Liverpool etc. Hair-brained of course but then do is the Boro claim…

This is why they won’t come out and directly engage in the public view when requested. By leaking things out through Nixon/Percy they get to put their stilted view out without being called on how ridiculous it is and then cry foul whenever the Administrators say anything contrary.
Again, if you’re tired of “misinformation” then engage with the media directly and put out your 100% black and white view without it going through the Percy/Nixon “click-bait” filter.

StaffsRam got a reaction from Crewton in Incomings/outgoings and re-signings
No, he’s saying that employing previous players as managers because they have one decent season isn’t always a great idea. Hence, Everton could appoint Wayne and then find themselves looking for another Manager before too long, just like Chelsea and Lampard.

Why is is that he’s happy to respond to Tom, Dick & Harry, but not any official channels? If you think there’s misleading information being put out there then hey, there's an easy way to remedy that, go on TV/Radio and give the EFL’s official stance rather than putting it through the Chinese whispers filter of Nixon/Percy etc.

RD invited them for comment on yesterdays Sportscene. They declined.
Perhaps they should try talking to folks directly instead of leaking it out through stooges.
