I’m with you mate. I’ll be wearing my poppy badge today, tomorrow I’ll be at the Utch war memorial to pay respects to family members whose names are on there. I know local folk who sell poppies, my mum in law used to go door to door round our estate for years with them so I have nothing but respect for all who do their bit for armistice day and Remembrance Sunday.

Brilliant point. I'm guilty of moaning about referees, i played football for 25 years in local leagues and you get to know a good ref who may make the odd poor decision from the weak ref who is scared of making a decision but at the end of the day, they see it in real time not slow motion so VAR should judge it in real time. Use tech to decide if a ball has crossed the line and offsides maybe but otherwise bin it. Its not improved the standard of refereeing one iota.

Watched a bit of the Newcastle - Arsenal match, Pished mesen laughing when i heard that Bobby Madley was on VAR while Atwell was performing on the pitch. The 11 point season was worth it just for the street party around Euston station and the late train journey back to Derby after the play off final win......we emptied all the local off licencies for a half a mile radius and danced and sang along Euston road for hours. Bottles of champagne (well, mostly cheap fizz tbh) popping everywhere, we even got the old bill joining in the songs at one point.

I agree. I don't dislike him but i think we need a Seth lad type in the midfield, especially away from home. A Mickey Lewis or Geraint Williams would do.
