  1. Jeezus, what an horrific choice to take sides with or against, Barton or Vine. Trump or Johnson, Davies or Jewell, Forest or Leeds would all have been easier. 'Shudder"
  2. Tart. (There's me planning to take me hip flask on Monday night v Burton as its going to be -1.)
  3. Slaughtering civilians is not as important as disrupting trade is possibly not the greatest argument to make. Like I said, fcked up world.
  4. You can dress it up however you like Tamworth but to me it seems that we are bombing Yemen to protect commerce/trade whilst allowing the massacre of civilians next door. Fcked up world mate.
  5. Its always about oil.
  6. Just as we’re going to bed I’ve read that the US and the UK are bombing the fck out of Yemen. Thank god for that, they must have been on the verge of invading us.
  7. Exactly as i remember it Alf. Through the 70's it was just Ossie End and Popside. DLF became a thing after Waterson used the term. The lads jumped on the Lunatic Fringe thing and came up with the Derby Lunatic Fringe. The hairstyles back then could just as easily have given us the same name! The 1970's are hard to explain as regards football hooliganism. Every match was dangerous, home and away, if you wore colours you were fair game. Nowadays wearing a replica shirt at an away match will pretty much guarantee you safe passage but wearing a scarf back then would invite an aggresive response. The world has moved on apart from Stoke, Leeds and Millwall.
  8. Too true Grumpy. I know how senior management work and only individual prosecution would correct their behaviour. Corporate fines are budgeted for, send the b******* to jail so they've got something interesting to talk about at their Board meetings.
  9. I've been trying to fit that into a good old fashioned chant of "You're gonna get your f****** heads kicked in" all day.
  10. I wouldn't have thought so. I imagine Reading fans have been sneered at by almost everyone they've ever met.
  11. Individuals need to be prosecuted. Forget fining the Corporation, that's the easy way out. Prosecute the persons responsible for making the decisions. The Post Office senior management and the Fujitsu guys involved at the time. Go to the very top and hammer these greedy, horrible b******* who happily ruined peoples lives for profit. Until these utter cretins get huge fines and serious jail time there is no incentive to do the right thing.
  12. Absolutely awful competition, not worth even entering imo. Even if we got to wembley i wouldn't have bothered going to such a mickey mouse event. Glad we deliberately lost so we can concentrate on the league.
  13. Another childhood legend gone. Growing up in the 60's and 70's we should have disliked "The Kaiser", yet we loved and respected the best German player of his generation and arguably of all time. RIP Franz, fondly remembered with Bobby Moore, Bobby Charlton and Pele. All greats and all gentlemen.
  14. No. Just a grey tracksuit and a receipt from Fantasy Island, Ingoldmells.
  15. Deserved a bit more acknowledgement Sage......👍🏿
  16. That's something you never thought you'd say back in 1975.
  17. Private Eye have hammered this disgusting behaviour from the beginning. All politicians have known about this for 20 years, Labour, Tory, Lib Dem, yet its been allowed to happen to protect a corporation and the people who awarded that corporation the contract. Journalists of all our major news outlets have also known about it but decided not to report it or weren't allowed to.
  18. They're just defending themselves.
  19. Cancel all subscriptions and put the money towards a visit to the promised land to see the promotion party in the Market Place. I'll buy you a pint in Jorrocks. COYR.
  20. Bloody kids. I'm 63 and will be at Wembley with me Uttoxeter Rams flag acting like a kid on the Popside. I'll meet you for a pint old fella!
  21. As a bit of a Saturday drunken day, watching the match in my local and having friends round this evening, i'd just like to remind everyone of the words to the song we'll be singing over the next few months. "The Rams are going up, The Rams are going up, and now you're gonna believe us, now you're gonna believe us, now you're gonna belieeeeeeve us, The Rams are going up" Repeat ad finitum. Been there, done it, its happening, enjoy.
  22. Agree with this. Collins has won me over with his workrate and goals. Not sure what type of player we were judging him with but we are where we are and he is doing his best. Collins is a grafter who is giving his all and winning games for us.
  23. 3 points away from home. Tough gig against a physical team with a new manager and we did what we had to do. Some attempts at playing nice football on a horrible narrow pitch that never really came off but we dug in when needed and always looked capable of scoring whilst admittedly not very secure at the back. Promotion seasons are built on games like this. Onwards and upwards. COYR.
  24. Not bothered in the slightest until we get to the final then its a day out at Wembley in the April sunshine, a few beers and singing with old friends. Look at it as a great day out, we'll miss out on that because of our automatic promotion.
