It's Suthell if you live in Mansfield but South Well if you live there.

Agree with you there Wolfie, I'm not going to tell you how many years it took me to catch on that hyperbole was hi per bol ee as opposed to hyper bowl.
Also the hoi polio changing the sound of names, i.e. Princess Diana's family home, Althorpe, they pronounce it Alltrup. Norman St John Stevas (an old mp) pronounced his name Sinjon Stevas and lastly Menzies Campbell, pronounces the Menzies as Mingis so they don't sound like ordinary folk. Take a hike I say.

    Isn't Heanor, Ayner.
There's an odd place near Coalville (yes, they're all odd) called Sinope. I have absolutely no idea how it's pronounced. It looks as though it's a figure of speech, like hyperbole or synecdoche.

Have to agree. There are a couple of teams forums I've used in the past and a few I haven't but still check in on daily and the amount of abuse and bickering that goes on between fans OF THE SAME CLUB is tragic. That's all it seems to be on thread after thread and it gets sad and tiresome.
This forum mostly I have found to be filled with fans of varying backgrounds and opinions like Jono said but each willing to listen to one another and try to help too if need be. Rarely do folk get abusive or obnoxious and that is despite Derby being a big club and therefore the site having many many more users than many clubs. You'd have thought you'd get a fair selection of knobs but no. Everyone is friendly and there for help and advice about anything if needed. Even hard to talk about things like depression and addictions. Nobody judges.
Spot on Jono. It's a great and fun place to be and that's credit to all the Derby fans that use it and of course Dave and the mods that help run it.

This forum .. No I really mean it. I am conversing on a regular basis with folk from numerous different backgrounds and with political, social and sporting beliefs that aren't the same. Yet we all get on pretty damn well. There is a fantastic, fun, sometimes combative exchange of opinion but always in a brilliantly open self policed way. Yeah, we have our "mates" of like mind but it is great to come across a different view and have your own shifted just a few degrees because someone has made you think outside your own boundaries.
Jeees I really am thinking of parting with some folding stuff as a gesture of support and become a plus or whatever it is.

You have to. I can imagine being the partner of a person with an anxiety disorder or depression is as testing as it is for the sufferer.
Sometimes there is no let up or sometimes things can be going well then in the blink of an eye plans have to change.
It is only fair on your partner that you tell them without feeling guilt or weak. If you have cancer then you have cancer. If you have severe panic disorder, anxiety or depression then you have them. End of. They should know and you shouldn't feel ashamed.
Myself for example have gone from holidaying all over Europe to not being able to get on an aeroplane due to anxiety and panic. Such a condition shrinks your world and what you are able to do. This includes my partners world and my childs world.
My kid is 8 next summer and we've not been abroad yet. Part cost , part anxiety. Next summer I'm summoning up the balls to go to France for a few days on the ferry for my kid.
It is planned meticulously down to the last detail. I must have a cabin both ways as it's a safety bolthole and I cannot have a sailing at the crack of dawn as my anxiety is severe the first few hours after waking especially if my routine is all to pot. It's a nightmare but i have to do it as i want the impact on my partner and kid to be minimal therefore if I reduce risk and uncertainty then I reduce my symptoms and we might even be able to enjoy ourselves.
Where we go out to eat will be planned as will most things. It's not too restrictive for my partner as I usually do it all in advance and she just goes along with it. Often it's beneficial as it cuts out hassle but on the flipside it also stunts any spontaneity.
    It's tough. Really tough.
Openness and communication are the only way relationships can work though whether you've got a condition or not.

I once said exactly this to a good man I once knew. He replied that if I was stopping in order to be thanked that I was doing it for the wrong reason.
    I've never forgotten that comment.

I think this is an etiquette thing. Because drivers are expected to stop at a zebra crossing then people just automatically cross without realising it's even socially positive to acknowledge.
Unlike if you were just kindly flashing to let someone cross at some random point on a road under no obligation to do so in which case acknowledgment IMO is essential in order to keep my faith in human nature.

No in uncharted 4 you get to play a little bit of crash bandicoot on a PlayStation erm, one. That grey one from the 90's. They're both naughty dog games.
Yeah most games these days aren't really challenging at all. I think Uncharted just wants to be a quick, breezy experience though which I can understand.
On the other hand I can remember being stuck on Broken Sword for absolutely ages because I needed to pick something barely visible up up off the floor.

Playstation or Xbox, long cinematic experiences are where gaming has been going over the last 5+ years. Studios are spending movie like budgets to create movie like experiences.
For horror games, give Outlast and Evil Within a go.

Shame you are not a fan of cinematic games as Until Dawn is a great survival horror game but that is very much a Heavy Rain style game where you watch 70% of it and make choices for 30%. Damn good though.

I sound like a similar gamer to you and never play online.  I have a PS4 and have got a lot of enjoyment out of games like Fallout4 and Unchartered 4 amongst others.  There are games with short pieces of action followed by long cut scenes (Until Dawn) springs to mind but I did still enjoy that.
    I'd get one...
